When tragedy strikes, it's easy to feel like God has abandoned us. But the story of Ruth reminds us of a powerful truth: when tragedy happens, God is still in control.

Naomi lost everything: her husband, her sons, her security. She even said, "The Lord has raised his fist against me." Yet God was walking with her through every painful step, working out a plan that would span 1,400 years and lead directly to Jesus Christ.

Whatever tragedy you're facing today, remember: God never wastes your pain. He walks with you through the darkest valleys and works for your good, even when you can't see it. Your theology is learned on the mountaintop but tested in the valley.

Last Wednesday, our youth students joined the Adult Men’s and Women’s Grow Groups, and it was such a sweet picture of different generations growing together in Christ!
