FIVE BOYS!!! Dad worked his way up the IBM (I’ve Been Moved) ladder without a college education. He worked hard making sure his sons had an opportunity for college if they desired it. He became a District and then regional manager. First it was New York subways everyday. Then Illinois. In Texas the Airplane was like a city bus to him,- Business required Mon. - Fri. branch office visits. He Took us water-skiing in the summer on Saturdays, made room in the house for other teen relatives needing family support, serving as a Deacon, taught Sunday School, and also on Laymen Boards at SAGU (Nelson University), and ICI (Global University). He never missed a Sunday going to church with the family, and so it never was a question we even thought of asking: “Should we take a break from going to church this Sunday?” No, the Lord is the one he sought direction from and the one who gave him those big breaks in life. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for an earthly Father who pointed the way to You with all his heart, soul, and mind!

THANKYOU David Bedwell and Family!
ONE call to Bedwell’s Tree Service about a dead tree threatening anything or anyone crossing an elderly neighbors driveway, and David is out that day to assess the situation. The next day the whole family, His wife, His son and grandson came to get the job done. Great people, and better than great prices. I’ve used them at least 5-6 times and am always more than satisfied!

6-14-26. Heart Matters - Pt. One

I felt it appropriate to honor a business neighbor and brother in Christ on our church page. Honestly, I had tears as I walked on the sidewalk to and from our church to the funeral at First Baptist Tecumseh (where he was a Deacon for 50 years). JIM JORDAN was friendly, kind, caring, and helpful. On several occasions I enjoyed his insights on some of our own church related projects, such as a handicap access from our parking lot to our Fellowship Hall. One day he inquired about the churches boys program. He noticed them shooting baskets outside in frigid winter temperatures. Later he handed me a key to a building to see if our church wanted to use an empty downtown building. It ends up we didn’t use it, but I never forgot his generous non-sectarian Spirit. Our church now has its own building for Youth and Family including a B-ball free throw court indoors. My prayer is that the same caring and gentle spirit of Jesus and Jimmy toward children will be carried on for the years God gives before Christ’s soon return! - Respectfully, Don Jonker
