Sunday Sermon Takeaways: In 1 Samuel 9 there are two realities in motion: the earthly realm, and the spiritual realm. Saul, under his earthly Father’s orders, is tracking down stray donkeys. He is totally unaware he is about to be anointed as Israel’s First King.
Samuel, a prophet, is under orders by the heavenly Father to anoint a man as King and immediately starts to prepare a place of honor at his dinner for God’s chosen man that God is sending his way.
The two have not met before, but when they do, a transition from Prophet-led to King-led government takes place as Saul suddenly enters a new leadership role.
Saul experienced noticeably positive changes after His anointing. Can’t wait to share those changes next week!
Have you ever felt like you are chasing donkeys to no avail? Let me challenge you to link up your natural life with the spiritual life God has provided you when you receive Jesus Christ. When we are filled with his Holy Spirit, The destiny and hope God has for you is so much greater than your estimation of yourself.
Jesus taught us to pray to our heavenly Fatger this way…”Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth, even as it is in heaven.” These two Kingdoms are both a reality that affect your life whether seen or unseen.
Isn’t it time the two realities of heaven and earth came together in you life? Meet Jesus, and suddenly your chasing donkeys will turn to the fulfilling life you were created for!

Samuel:Prophet of Change - Pt 3. The title for this Sunday is taken from 1 Samuel 8:18. On the surface Israel underwent a govt change from Prophets to Kings to remedy Samuel’s son’s bad practices. Truth is, they wanted to be like other nations. The warnings about having a King were actually requirements for Leaders in any form of government. Following a King meant yielding personal control over Leadership Team choices, Vision casting, Protection Services, and Budget Resources.
Ultimately, the big takeaway today is Jesus is Lord and King and we need to surrender every area of our life to Him.
We want what we think is best, but God KNOWS what’s best for each of us! Make Jesus your Lord and King today by coming under His authority and Leadership in your life m. — Pastor Don Jonker.

The stone monument Samuel erected was called Eben-Ezer which meant: “Up to this point the Lord has helped us”. How you remember Gods faithfulness while you are in the middle of a difficult journey will be instrumental in how satisfied you are as you look forward to your relationship and help from God in the future!

Appreciate the fast accurate diagnosis and repair that Dustin did for our Fellowship Hall by A/C Doctor in Tecumseh. Glad he didn’t have to go in the attic like a house he did earlier in the day! We were able to stay cool for our a funeral dinner, a game night, our Legacy Adult Bible Study and a youth and kids supper this week in the same room!
