Church Family,
Fall Kickoff and Signup Sunday is 9/13, including a special coffee hour after church in the Memorial Garden.
This Fall at First Presbyterian Tecumseh:
Introducing exciting new offerings in education beginning 9/13:
The Ark: will be staffed by two paid childcare providers every Sunday from 10-12noon. Our Family Ministries Coordinator, Samantha Huff, will provide preschool craft supplies and educational ideas consistent with each Sunday's theme.
The Rainbow Room (K-5th grade): is offering learning activities for two different age groups in the same room! Sam will oversee the whole room with 1-2 additional adult Rainbow Room Friends helping to guide the learning activities Sam prepares and directs. Designated space and educational activities will be offered for younger and older elementary students.
The Grotto (6th-12th grade): is offering learning activities for two different age groups in the same room too! Donna Andre will oversee the whole Grotto with 1-2 additional adult Grotto Friends to guide learning activities Donna prepares and directs. Designated space and learning initiatives will be offered for 6th-8th and 9th-12th grade students.
Adults:
Beginning 9/9 Wednesdays at 10am and 7pm: Rev. King is offering a weekly study on Christianity 101, using the Bible and Shirley Guthrie's book "Christian Doctrine". This book is a great addition to any home library, addressing all of the core beliefs of Christianity generously, accessibly and thoughtfully. Please sign up either using the online registration or the paper registration in the hallway outside the sanctuary so we can appropriately plan for space.
Sunday mornings: Rev. King will facilitate a discussion on the Scriptures and topics of the morning beginning at 9am.
Notes:
Opportunities to sign up to be a Rainbow Room or Grotto Friend are available online and will be available in person on 9/13.
Parents are invited to drop their youngest children (Pre-K) off at the Ark on their way into church, and older children will be shepherded into their classrooms by Sam, Donna, and Rainbow/Grotto Friends after the Children's Message.
