Thank you Journey Community Church. We had a huge response at our Chrismas Giving Tree this year. Over 300 ornaments were taken! We even had to go home and make more to send out.

Jennie, you did a spectacular job of announcing and explaining our ministry and what Giving Tree is all about, and the Journey team and Pastor Ed were wonderful promoting us to the congregation.
There are going to be several hundred happy families in Cerro Azul, Tecate this year receiving food baskets and gifts this Christmas.

Last week we hosted a group of nine adults from Calvary Crossroads Church in Grants Pass, Oregon. They spent a week with us, (in motorhomes and sleeping inside the Children's Center) doing some much needed repair work on our facilities.

Their main goal was replacing our falling down property line fence and the fence bordering the playground, and replacing all of the T1-11 siding on the main daycare building. They also repaired the dry rotten floor joists and flooring in our small laundry room in the two-story.

Working hard, the group ran out of projects before they ran out of time, so they repainted the Big House and got the shower in the downstairs bathroom operational. There were a few other small tasks completed as well.

We had a great time with this group. Calvary Crossroads is a supporting church and it was nice to reconnect with them in this way. Thank you all for giving up your time and money to help us get things fixed up. We hope you'll all be back again next year!

Special Donation Request:

The ministry is in desperate need of a pick up truck. The one we had, a 1995 Ford F150 that we received in 2010 has died. If anyone has a truck, whether a full or mid-size, they would like to donate to us, it would be greatly appreciated. We'd only ask that it would be in reasonable shape and could pass smog tests in California.

Beginning Monday for three days we will be holding a VBS at the Children's Center. Please pray for a great turnout and that the kids will have a great time and be receptive to hearing about Jesus!
