Missouri Dept of Natural Resources recommends D2 as the best way to clean grave stones. It’s a biological agent that dissolves lichens naturally without damaging the stone. Using a very soft brush and plain water you can see results right away and the product continues to work over time.

This young man made a business but donates the money he makes to a cancer charity. Something to think about.

**UPDATE 7/17/23 2:15PM**
A volunteer is headed to the cemetery now with his chainsaw to work on the tree limbs if anyone is available to help him.

*ORIGINAL POST*
While we are happy that we finally got some rain in Central Missouri, we are sad to see that we have quite a bit of tree damage from the storms. We are seeking individuals to either donate their time or to provide us with bids to clean up and remove these downed limbs.

Please contact Becky Foster either by phone or text at (573) 644-2474 if you would like to submit a bid or volunteer. Middle River Cemetery is located at the corner of County Road 480 and PP in Tebbetts.

Happy Memorial Day!

Thank you to those that placed flags on the graves of our veterans! If your loved one served in the military and does not have a flag on their grave, please let us know so we can add them to the list for future years.

When you visit the graves of your loved ones this Memorial Day there is something more you can do to remember them.

You can complete a cemetery marker survey form and file it with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of State Parks. This is through the State Historic Preservation Office.

Instructions for completing the form can be found on the same page as the form:https://mostateparks.com/sites/mostateparks/files/CemeteryMarkerForm.pdf

It may look complicated, but completing even the easiest portions can start to document Middle River and the other cemeteries you may visit, one grave at a time. Print your forms and take them, a clipboard and a pen with you to the cemetery.
