Run Robert Run, Kenya Mission.

From Bristol, VA to Lake Junaluska, NC. Robert is lacing up his shoes and hitting the road for an incredible cause!

He is running every mile to raise funds to FINISH the orphanage in Kenya - a place that will give children a safe home, hopes, and future.

Every dollar gets us closer to the finish line. Will you run alongside him by making a donation?

When the storm rolled in, the forecast might have been a little off, but the cold sure wasn’t. In the middle of it all, Main Street, Alexander, alongside the Holston Foundation, and a whole lot of people who simply said “yes,” came together to do what needed doing. Significant resources were put to work hauling and delivering many truckloads of firewood so families could stay warm. Maybe the weather folks missed a few details, but our neighbors didn’t miss the need, and we did what we could.

Scripture reminds us, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up” (Galatians 6:9). This work wasn’t about credit; it was about helping people survive the storm and reminding them they’re not alone. Grace looks a lot like firewood on a cold night, and I’m grateful for a church and a community willing to show up, lift together, and love in very practical ways.

The Governor of Virginia has declared a State of Emergency in anticipation of the upcoming winter storm.

In light of this, Anthony has requested that everyone stay home and stay safe this Sunday. Anthony will still be at the church on Sunday morning, following his policy that service is never canceled but that no one should risk their life to attend.

Please stay safe and keep those we typically mention at church, as well as all unspoken requests, in your prayers.
