Proverbs 16:28 highlights that a dishonest individual sows discord and a whisperer divides close friends. May our words and actions be a source of edification, uplifting and building others. The church, particularly in its local manifestation, should not be plagued by the reign of lies and gossip that characterizes the world, for it has the teachings of the Word to guide it.

May we all do better!

Thank you Jesus! No one else could do for me what you did on Calvary! I remember how they beat you, mocked you and the crucified you… Thank you! I remember how they abandoned you and how you were tortured. Thank you! I love you Jesus! My Savior! My King!

That I might know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings. Philippians 3:10

In prayer and preparation of today, I read in my devotional a sentence that hit me…. It simply said, “ now is not the time to abandon Him.”

Times are chaotic and we have many reasons to fear when we look at this world.
We must change the filter through which we are looking at things. This world has nothing we need and no power to save us. Only Jesus - who through His death burial and resurrection- completed and secured our lives in Him. We must not abandon Him now in search of some false hope or some temporary fix.

Hold Him tight. Cherish Him. Believe Him!

He is the way the truth and the life!
