Pray for the Mecimore family, Howard’s brother passed away.

James Edward Mecimore, age 82, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at his home. James was born January 13, 1944, in Alexander County, the son of the late Roby C. Mecimore and Zora Walker Mecimore.
James worked as a truck driver and also a sawmiller. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed fishing and anything outdoors. He had numerous bird houses, that he enjoyed.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Martha Mecimore.
Those left to cherish and honor James’s memories include: his wife of 61 years, Dianne Francis Mecimore of the home; his son, James Scott Mecimore and wife, Linda, of Virginia; his granddaughter, Grace Leanna Mecimore; his sister, Betty Hollifield; his brothers, Tommy Mecimore, Howard Mecimore and wife, Rachel, Conley Mecimore all of Taylorsville; special friends, Clyde, Anita, and Andrew Herman, Bobby and Ann Johnson, Kiristie Elder, Justin and Josh Fortner, Margie Sipe; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2026, at Three Forks Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to: Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
