Friendship Lutheran Church is a vibrant community of believers in Jesus Christ! Sunday school is offered at 9:15 am followed by a Traditional Lutheran service at 10:30 am. What a wonderful time we had at Friendship Preschool Open House!

It was such a joy welcoming all of the families who came to meet our teachers, explore our preschool, and get excited for the year ahead! We are so thankful for each family who makes Friendship Preschool such a special place.

A very special THANK YOU to our incredible Preschool Board and staff for all of their hard work, preparation, and dedication in making this evening so wonderful! We are truly blessed by each of you.

Friendship Preschool is so excited to welcome back our returning preschoolers and welcome our NEW preschoolers! We can’t wait for a year filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and lots of fun!🎨📚✏️

Sunday was Rally Day at Friendship!

This is a day in which we celebrate and ask God to bless all of the ministry we are called to do throughout the year and we pray over all of our Sunday school classes and christian education opportunities! During worship, we were commissioned to dig deeper in the faith, growing in our relationship with God, with each other and with the world. The Holy Spirit rallied us and we invite you to come and be a part of the work God is doing through this church family!

This past Sunday, we welcomed and installed Vicar Beth Sheedy to the pastoral staff at Friendship!

Vicar Beth is a senior seminarian at The Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary of Lenoir Rhyne University. She is from Pennsylvania and hopes to be ordained as a pastor in the ELCA at the end of the school year upon receiving a call to parish ministry. She just completed her internship year in Indiana and is excited to be living in Taylorsville for this last year of seminary.

In her role at Friendship, Vicar Beth will be assisting with leadership of youth, children and family ministries, worship leadership and administration.

She enjoys reading, game nights and long walks with her beloved dog, Bowman.

Today we celebrated Youth Sunday at Friendship Lutheran Church!

We’re so proud of our youth and the way they continue to let their light shine for Jesus. During their mission trip to Charleston, our youth served others, grew together in faith, and experienced firsthand what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Their journey is a beautiful reminder that our faith isn’t meant to stay within the walls of our church—it’s meant to shine wherever God leads us.

May we all continue to shine our light brightly, love like Jesus, and serve our neighbors wherever we are!

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

We are so thankful for our youth, their leaders, and everyone who helped make their Charleston mission trip possible!
