Ten teaching points from Zacchaeus. Luke 19:1-10.
1. Be determined to see the Lord.
2. Be intentional- Zacc ran ahead and climbed a tree.
3. Humble yourself. Zacc climbed a tree. Ever see a rich man climb a tree?
4. Jesus saw Zacchaeus and called him by name! "Come down quickly."
5. Be obedient to God. Do what He tells you to do.
6. Heart change. A true believer has a heart chasing after God. He has a strong desire to please God. Zacc promised to give 1/2 his wealth to the poor. Before meeting Jesus, Zacc was known as a chief sinner by local townspeople.
7. True repentance. Zacc was willing to make right to everyone he had cheated.
8. Be the "new" man. "I am no longer that "old" guy. I will live differently."
9. God called Zacc a "true son of Abraham." Why? Because he was a man after God's own heart.
10. Jesus said, "The Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.

Do you feel lost? He's calling you.

Do you feel you are one of the worst sinners? "Those who require much forgiveness are also those who love God much. They experience a radical salvation!
Be an overcomer. Don't let anything keep us away from Jesus. Amen?
Lastly, be obedient to His calling and answer quickly. Pray and ask God to forgive you and come into your life.

Sunday Easter Service begins at 8:00 am. Weather permitting, we will meet outdoors. Bring a lawn chair and dress accordingly to the weather.

Great faith comes from a great relationship with God. Faith is trusting, believing and achieving the things God desires to accomplish through you, for His purpose.
Remember, listen to God; do what He tells you to do...willingly. Secondly, believe God will provide everything needed to accomplish His will. Lastly, live in the moment. Don't worry about tomorrow. Fear not. Let not your heart be worried. Accomplish as much as you can today.

Are you a man or woman of God?
If you claim to be a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, then, take a few minutes to read this message.
1 Timothy 6:11-12
11.) But you, Timothy, are a man of God: so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
12.) Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God called you, which you have confessed so well before many witnesses.
Paul instructs Timothy to run from evil; and we also must turn and run from wickedness. While each person's "evil things" might be different, the commonality is they are all evil. When the Holy Spirit convicts us of an area in our life to surrender, it is our duty to yield to His direction. We are called to run or flee from all forms of evil- things that are unholy, unrighteous, ungodly, sinful, selfish and hateful.
Secondly, we are to pursue (to chase after, diligently seek or make a strong international effort), righteousness and a godly (God-first) life, along with faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.
We are to trust God, chose to love, endure hardship and be kind and compassionate to all.
Lastly, Paul encourages Timothy to fight for the true faith. This holds true for today's believer because there are other truths being preached. There have always been counterfeit movements based on twisted Biblical truths used to fit a sinful world's view. Citing an approval to live this way or that way, because He won't punish them because God is love.
Church hold tightly to the eternal life to which God called you. Jesus is the only way. His death and resurrection is the Good News that brings us eternal life. "I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me."
Let us all be intentional in keeping God central in all areas of our lives. Remember to be holy because He is holy. We are called to be set apart and to love God, love others and forgive often.

The State of South Carolina has asked our churches to close through April 1st to help end the spread of the Covid-19 virus. We will support their request and resume our Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services after April 1st.
