We believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and Leaders always care and have fun!!!! Before kids head off to middle school, we want to make sure these 3 things stick
1. I can trust God no matter what
3 I should treat others the way I want to be treated. Our focus on UpStreet is our small group environment. We want kids to see how God's word fits into their lives, to lea

rn how to talk to Him, and to build friendships that will last. That's why its important to make sure your child connects with the same friends, same leaders, at the same hour EVERY SUNDAY!!!! WHAT DOES SUNDAY LOOK LIKE
STEP 1 Get up and go to church!!! We will do e everything we can to make it worth the trip
STEP 2 Take your kids to 2|42 kids and then go to the adult worship service. STEP 3 Go home and figure out a way to have some quality family time during the week - then next Sunday start all over again...

Saturday in the tomb!
Jesus' body lay in its tomb, where it was guarded by Roman soldiers throughout the day on Saturday, which was the Sabbath. When the Sabbath ended at 6 p.m., Christ's body was ceremonially treated for burial with spices purchased by Nicodemus:

"He brought about seventy-five pounds of perfumed ointment made from myrrh and aloes. Following Jewish burial custom, they wrapped Jesus' body with the spices in long sheets of linen cloth." (John 19: 39-40, NLT)
Nicodemus, like Joseph of Arimathea, was a member of the Sanhedrin, the court that had condemned Jesus Christ to death. For a time, both men had lived as secret followers of Jesus, afraid to make a public profession of faith because of their prominent positions in the Jewish community.

Similarly, both were deeply affected by Christ's death. They boldly came out of hiding, risking their reputations and their lives because they had come to realize that Jesus was, indeed, the long-awaited Messiah. Together they cared for Jesus' body and prepared it for burial.

While his physical body lay in the tomb, Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin by offering the perfect, spotless sacrifice. He conquered death, both spiritually and physically, securing our eternal salvation:

"For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God." (1 Peter 1:18-19, NLT)
Saturday's events are recorded in Matthew 27:62-66, Mark 16:1, Luke 23:56, and John 19:40.

Families our babies are hatching!!!!
Each year, we love the powerful visual lesson that hatching baby chicks brings to our children. Watching a chick break free from its shell into new life beautifully reflects the Resurrection of Jesus and the new life we are given through Him. What once seemed closed and lifeless becomes the beginning of something living, hopeful, and full of promise.

Baby chicks remind us that Easter is a celebration of renewal and life restored. The Bible tells us that after Jesus died, He rose again in victory over death: “He is not here, but has risen.”

Through Him, we too are invited into new life—renewed, restored, and filled with a hope that never fades.

This month kids will dive into Confidence: Living like you believe God is with you.
People build their lives on all kinds of stories: Acing every test. Being the funny kid. Keeping the peace. Doing enough good things. But every single one of those foundations, alone, will crumble. The only safe story on which to build is the true story of a God who created us and loves us so much that when we turned away, God continued to pursue us. God chose a people and promised through them to bless the whole world. And God fulfilled that promise by sending Jesus to rescue and redeem us. When we begin to understand this story and allow it to inform everything in our lives, we can live from a place of quiet confidence, knowing God is always with us and is able to work every single thing we face into a beautiful pattern for our good. This month, we’re exploring some larger-than life characters from God’s story who lived during the decline of Israel and Judah and the following exile. These individuals chose to—or failed to— place the full weight of their lives on trust in God. Through stories of Elijah, Jonah, Daniel, Esther, and Nehemiah we see how making choices from a foundation of trust changes everything about the way you live.
