There’s something holy about simple joys. An ice cream social may seem like a small thing, but gatherings like this are often where God’s quiet work unfolds. Smiles shared, conversations sparked, new friendships formed—these are the gentle places where the Holy Spirit moves.

Just as each scoop in the image is bright, cheerful, and unique, so are the people God brings into our lives. When we come together after Mass—rooted in the Eucharist, strengthened by the Word—we carry that grace into our fellowship. Sweet treats become sweeter when shared. Community becomes deeper when nourished by love.

Events like this remind us that faith is not only lived in solemn moments, but also in laughter, hospitality, and togetherness. Christ meets us in the sanctuary, but He also meets us in the parish hall, in the courtyard, in the joyful noise of families and friends simply being together.

May this gathering be a reminder that God delights in our delight.
May every scoop be a taste of His goodness.
May every conversation be touched by His peace.
And may our community continue to grow in warmth, welcome, and love

We have two beloved priests from our parish family who will soon begin new chapters of ministry. As we celebrate these moments of transition, we give thanks to God for the gift of their vocations, their faithful service, and the many ways they have shepherded our communities with compassion and devotion.

Please join us for a reception after Mass in the social hall, where we will gather as one family of faith to offer our prayers, gratitude, and heartfelt good wishes.

🌹 Join Pope Leo XIV in Praying the Rosary for Peace 🌍

This Saturday, May 30, Pope Leo XIV will lead a worldwide Rosary for Peace from the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens at 7:00 PM Rome time. Catholics across the globe are invited to unite in prayer as shrines from countries including Ukraine, Portugal, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lebanon, the Philippines, and the United States join simultaneously via livestream.

Each decade of the Joyful Mysteries will be offered for those suffering from the effects of war and violence — from victims and families torn apart, to medical workers, prisoners, and all who long for peace.

🙏 Let us come together as one family of faith.
In a world wounded by conflict, this is our moment to lift our voices and hearts to Mary, Queen of Peace, entrusting the world to her loving intercession.

📿 Join the Rosary. Pray for peace. Invite a friend.
Let every bead carry hope. Let every prayer build peace.

🌐 Livestream available at vaticannews.va.

✨ Message of the Day ✨
“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit.”

In the quiet beauty of creation—mountains standing firm, waters resting in peace, and every living creature finding its place—God reminds us that His Spirit moves gently, powerfully, and purposefully.

Just as the stillness of nature reflects His presence, may your heart today be a place where the Holy Spirit can rest, renew, and fill you with strength, clarity, and peace.

Breathe deeply. Look around. God is near.
May His Spirit guide every step you take today.

✨ Parishioners, you’re invited! ✨

Join us at our sister parish St. Alfred Catholic Church Taylor, Michigan for a powerful evening of praise and worship as we come together to deepen our faith and renew our love for Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

Rooted in the words of 2 John — “let us love one another… walk according to his commandments” — this special gathering invites us to rediscover the Eucharist as the very heart of our Christian walk.

Saturday, May 30
7:00-9:00pm

We are truly blest to welcome Deacon Lizandro Barba, who will preach and guide us in reflection as we answer the ancient call to love, obedience, and communion with our Lord.

Come, pray, worship, and be renewed in His presence.
All are welcome — bring a friend and share the blessing!

Prostate Cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men. More than 218,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year alone, and more than 27,000 will die.

"Prostate cancer and problems urinating caused by benign prostatic enlargement affect the vast majority of men as they age," said Dr. Christopher Saigal, an assistant professor of urology and a researcher at UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center. "It makes sense to do what you can to avoid a foreseeable problem with your health"

• Maintain a healthy weight and exercise regularly.

• Eat five or more servings of fruits and vegetables every day. Tomatoes, watermelons, pink grapefruits, guava and papaya contain lycopene, a powerful antioxidant, and have been touted as prostate healthy. Cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, bok choy and kale also are good choices.

• Limit your intake of red meat, especially high-fat or processed meats, and limit your intake of high-fat dairy products.

• Tell your doctor if you have a family history of prostate cancer. Having a father or brother with prostate cancer more than doubles a man's risk of developing this disease.

• Include more soy in your diet from sources such as tofu, soy nuts or soy flour or powders.

• Avoid to***co and alcohol.

• Include in your diet selenium-rich foods such as wheat germ, tuna, herring and other seafood and shellfish, beef liver, kidney, eggs, sunflower and sesame seeds, cashews, mushrooms, garlic and onions. Selenium reduces risk of prostate cancer.

• Get screened. PSA blood test and digital re**al exams are recommended annually, beginning at age 50. Men at high risk, such as African American men or men with a Services.
