God’s Got 2025 Covered! 🙌✨
We’re stepping into 2025, and let’s be real—none of us know exactly what’s ahead. But here’s the good news: God does. He’s the Master Planner, and His plan is good.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

God’s not making things up as He goes. He’s not reacting to the chaos of the world. He already has a plan—one that provides for what we need and protects us from harm. That doesn’t mean life will always be easy, but it does mean we can trust Him, even when we don’t understand.

So as we enter this new year, let’s choose faith over fear. Let’s trust the Planner. He’s got this. And He’s got you. ❤️

Thinking about the early Church makes you realize how different things are now. Back then, it was all about having a strong relationship with Jesus and spending a ton of time praying. Remember that story in Acts 2? The believers prayed and worshiped for hours, and then Peter spoke for just a few minutes. The result? 3,000 people became believers. They really knew how to set the stage with prayer.

Fast forward to today, and it seems like we’ve flipped things around. We have long sermons and only a bit of prayer. Maybe it’s time to take a page from the early Church’s book and make prayer our main focus again. If we spend more time connected with God, who knows what incredible things could happen? Let's give it a shot and see what kind of changes it brings.

Story of Faith in the Storm: 14 Weeks of Prayer by Pd2, LSS

In the midst of a powerful prayer journey, spanning 14 weeks and 99 days from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend, a small but dedicated group of ten faithful individuals gathered consistently to pray for peace and unity across individuals, families, and nations. As the 12th week unfolded, a day of powerful testimony and prayer emerged, even as a literal storm loomed overhead.

The group had set up their prayer tent, but soon, a dark cloud hovered ominously above. As the winds picked up and the rain began to pour, some suggested moving inside the church building for safety. However, one of the attendees faced ambulatory challenges and couldn't move quickly enough to escape the storm. In that moment, I paused to pray for guidance, realizing that time had run out. The wind howled, and the tent began to flood, but we knew our purpose—to stand firm against adversity and pray in the midst of the storm.

We lifted our voices and began to sing, "We give thanks unto the Lord, for He is mighty!" The words echoed through the downpour, and a sense of unity and purpose filled the air. As we prayed, one person asked for healing for his back, and through that prayer, our intercession for peace and unity took on new strength.

We anchored our prayers in the promises of God's Word. Philippians 4:6-7 reminded us to bring all our requests to God, and we prayed for peace of mind and heart for individuals across nations. We prayed for the unity of believers, drawing strength from Acts 1:14, where the early church gathered in one accord for prayer. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 empowered our intercession for others, while Matthew 5:44 reminded us to pray for forgiveness and reconciliation, even for our enemies.

As we persisted in prayer, something miraculous happened—the storm began to subside. A woman who had joined us for the first time shared her testimony. She was both Jewish and Christian and had visited many churches but now found a new home with us. Though she traveled frequently, she promised to return whenever she was in the neighborhood to share the goodness of the Lord and the stories of how He was guiding her steps.

The gentleman who had asked for prayer earlier now prayed for divine intervention across nations, quoting 2 Chronicles 7:14, calling for God's people to humble themselves and seek His face. Another prayer followed, asking for strengthened faith in God's sovereignty.

As we drew near the close of our time together, the sister with the walking device shared her short story. Even in her golden years, she felt the Lord transforming her. She was the matriarch of her family, praying for her entire clan, filled with awe and thanksgiving for the Lord's work in her life.

We ended our time together with the uplifting song, "I don't know what you came to do, but I came to praise the Lord!" There was a deep sense of gratitude in my heart as the lead elder of this church, witnessing how God was touching individuals, transforming families, and making a difference in communities. We gave thanks to Jesus for His faithfulness and power, knowing that our prayers were heard and that change was taking place.

Biblical Reflection:

This powerful experience reminds us of the promises of God's Word. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to bring everything to God in prayer and trust that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds. In Acts 1:14, we see the early church united in prayer, showing the strength of believers when they come together with a common purpose. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 calls us to pray for others, and Matthew 5:44 challenges us to love and pray for our enemies, promoting forgiveness and reconciliation.

This story is a testament to the power of prayer, faith, and unity, even in the midst of literal and metaphorical storms. Through prayer, we can see God's hand at work, transforming lives and communities for His glory. Let us continue to trust Him, stand firm in the storm, and give thanks for His mighty works!

A need to pray for the revitalization of the church.
But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31 paints such a vivid picture of renewal and strength that come from hoping in the Lord. Imagine the incredible feeling of soaring like an eagle, effortlessly gliding through the air, far above the troubles and challenges below. This verse serves as a powerful reminder that true revitalization happens not through our own efforts alone, but by putting our hope and trust in God. When we rely on His strength, we find that we can keep going without running out of steam, tackling life's marathons without growing weary. It's like having an endless source of energy and resilience that fuels us, helping us to walk steadily even when the path is tough, and ensuring we are not faint-hearted. This scripture encourages us to look beyond our immediate struggles and place our confidence in God's power to renew and uplift us.
