In today's Gospel reading, we hear perhaps one of the most well known passages of the Bible – the Sermon on the Mount. Where Jesus speaks from atop a hill, to the crowd gathered, and gives them what we call the Beatitudes.

Welcoming New Jail Ministry Volunteers at Catholic Charities!
⁣
We are grateful to welcome two of our newest Jail Ministry volunteers, Mayra and Felipe, who are joining us from Iglesia Cristo Rey Parish! Pictured with them are Kim Murphy, Manager of Volunteer Engagement, and Vince Lonnemann, Jail Ministry Coordinator, during a recent volunteer orientation.
⁣
At Catholic Charities, Jail Ministry is rooted in Christ's call to serve those who are often forgotten. Through prayer, presence, and compassionate accompaniment, volunteers bring hope to individuals impacted by incarceration and remind them that they are not alone.
⁣
If you feel called to serve in this ministry or would like to learn more about becoming a volunteer, please contact Vince Lonnemann at vlonnemannCatholic Charities, Diocese of Covington.org.
⁣
Thank you, Mayra and Felipe, for answering the call to serve our neighbors with compassion and dignity.
