House of Bread is about more than just attending an uplifting Sunday morning service; it’s about building lives, creating authentic community and making disciples. On Sundays, we focus on celebrating Jesus and during the week we gather to build each other up. In case you were wondering, a strong faith in Jesus Christ is not a prerequisite. Wearing a suit, jeans, sneakers or a tie is all up to you. We hope to see you there next Sunday!

Before you let fear ruin your peace today, remember this:

God is already in the future you are worrying about.

He already knows how the situation will turn out.
He already knows what you need and He already has a way prepared, even if you cannot see it yet.

Some people woke up this morning carrying heavy thoughts.

Worried about family.
Worried about health.
Worried about money.
Worried about things they cannot control.

And little by little, those worries steal joy, peace, and rest.

But God never intended for you to live trapped in fear.

The Bible says:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Not panic.
Not overthink.
Not carry the whole world on your shoulders.

Be still.

Because God is still working behind the scenes.

While you are praying…
God is moving.

While you are waiting…
God is arranging things you cannot yet understand.

And sometimes the biggest blessing is not what God gives you…

It is the peace He places in your heart while you wait.

So take a deep breath this morning.

You do not have to have every answer today.
You do not have to know how everything will work out.

You only need to remember who walks beside you.

The same God who carried you through past battles…
will carry you through this one too.

And one day you will look back and thank God for not letting you give up.

The people who seem most at peace aren't the ones who've impressed everyone. They're the ones who stopped trying.

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them." — Ephesians 2:10

You were not made to be a performance. You were made by God, known by him, and loved before you ever had a reputation to protect.

God, in the hush of this new morning, I draw near to You before the day grows loud. Let my first comfort be the nearness of Your presence.

Teach me to welcome the quiet and to recognize holy beauty in moments of stillness. In the tender light of early day, help my heart become attentive to Your voice.

Set me free from restless thinking, from the burden of my anxieties, and from the urge to manage everything ahead of me. Remind me that nothing in this day is beyond Your care. You are already present in every hour I have not yet seen, governing creation with power and holding my life with perfect love.

Give me a soul that is steady, peaceful, and not driven by haste. Root me deeply in the calm that comes from trusting that You alone are God. Shelter me beneath Your care, where true comfort, safety, and lasting gladness are found, the kind no earthly trouble can steal.

Today I place my plans, my timing, and my desires into Your hands. Shape me according to Your will, so that my life reflects less of my own striving and more of what You want to form within me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

Instead of playing defense with harmful thoughts that come your way, take action and deliberately place helpful thoughts to change the narrative of your mind. A great way to go on offense with your thought life is to grab hold of one of these Scriptural truths each day of the week.

Monday: My God knows my name. (Isaiah 43:1)
Tuesday: My God goes before me. (Isaiah 42:12)
Wednesday: I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
Thursday: My present suffering pales in comparison to
my future glory. (Romans 8:18)
Friday: No weapon formed against me will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)
Saturday: I am a child of God. (Romans 8:16)
Sunday: The same power that raised Jesus from the dead
lives in me. (Ephesians 1:18–20)

Think about these things. Carry them with you through each day. Don’t stop telling yourself these truths until you fall asleep at night. ~ Louie Giglio

Lord, I don’t want to rush past this day as if it were ordinary. I woke up this morning because You allowed it. I took a breath because You sustained me.

My heart beat, my mind worked, my body moved, all because Your mercy said yes one more time.

That alone is reason to pause and whisper thank You.
Thank You for the quiet miracle of another sunrise. For another chance to try again. To love better. To learn more. To grow a little deeper.
Thank You for the blessings I easily recognize and the ones I overlook without thinking. For shelter and warmth. For food on the table. For small comforts that make hard days softer.
Thank You for the routines that steady me and the quiet moments that restore me.

For strength that showed up when I needed it, even if it felt small. For carrying me through situations that could have been heavier than they were.

I am grateful for the people in my life. For family and friends. For unexpected kindness. For messages that came at the right time. For those who stand beside me in both celebration and struggle.

Thank You even for the challenges.
Not because they were easy, but because You were present in them.
Thank You for teaching patience when I wanted speed.
Trust when I wanted certainty. Humility when I wanted control.

Thank You for the doors You closed that I once begged You to open. For the detours that protected me. For outcomes that didn’t match my plan but matched Your wisdom.

Your grace humbles me.
You love me on strong days and stay with me on weak ones. You do not withdraw when I falter. You meet me exactly where I am.

So tonight, I choose gratitude over worry. Trust over fear. I lay down what I didn’t finish, what I couldn’t fix, what still lingers in my thoughts.

Tomorrow is already in Your hands.
Hey God, it’s me again.
And I will keep coming back with thanks.
Because every day with You is a gift, and I am deeply grateful.
Amen.

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Lord, I don’t know what tomorrow will ask of me, but I know You will be there before I ever arrive.

There are moments ahead I can’t imagine yet, answers I don’t have, turns in the road that remain hidden from my sight, and sometimes that not knowing feels heavy.

Teach my heart that uncertainty does not mean abandonment, that fear loses its grip when I remember I am never walking alone.

You are already present in every future moment, already holding what I have not yet faced, already steady where I feel unsure.

When my thoughts run ahead and anxiety steals the peace of today, gently call me back to trust.

Remind me that my security is not found in having a plan, but in knowing the One who orders my steps.

Give me courage to move forward without needing every answer, confidence rooted not in certainty but in faith.

Help me release the need to control what’s coming and instead rest in Your care. I may not know what tomorrow holds, but I know You hold me, and that is enough.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Ever miss a day (or a week) in your Bible… and suddenly you feel “behind” like God is keeping score?

Father, I confess how fast I turn a missed day into a shame story. I start thinking I need to crawl back to You instead of just… coming back.

Here’s what I’m learning: guilt says “hide.” Grace says “come closer.”

If you fell off, try this:
1) Don’t binge to “catch up.” Just return to today.
2) Pray one honest sentence: “Lord, I’m here again. Help me want You.”
3) Read a small piece and sit with it. One verse can restart a whole rhythm.
4) Let it be relationship, not a report card.

God isn’t impressed by streaks. He loves nearness.

Scripture: “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence…” Hebrews 4:16

Have you ever felt guilty for missing days? What helps you come back gently?

Some nights, it’s not the noise in the room that keeps me awake: it’s the endless cycle of thoughts and quiet worries, swirling and refusing to settle. Lord, You see the hidden weight I carry to bed: the things I cannot untangle, the questions I can’t answer, the burdens I still grip so tightly. Tonight, I’m reminded that You aren’t waiting for me to fix it all before I rest. You simply ask me to lay it all down and trust Your steady hands to hold what I can’t.

God, teach my restless heart to loosen its grip. Breathe Your peace over my anxious mind. Remind me, even in the quiet glow, that Your faithfulness isn’t limited by my exhaustion. You are still working, even while I sleep.

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.” Psalm 4:8

Rest isn’t proof that everything is finished. It’s faith that God still holds every loose end. 🌙
