Calling all Christian singles! New Hope is excited to be hosting an event at The Center this Saturday (August 22 @4:30pm) of a panel discussion with Christian singles and a Christian s*x and intimacy therapist on the challenges of approaching dating and marriage in a godly way in today's world. There will also be times of worship and fellowship and refreshments. This event is being run by a Christian dating docu-series film-maker to help the Christian singles community engage with these important issues. What do we do when the things we have faith will happen don't happen? Is our faith in positive outcomes, or Jesus Christ? Would our faith still be strong if we never see the results we are hoping and praying for? What sort of faith can stand strong no matter what our circumstances or trials?

Are you enough? Do you do enough? Do you compare yourself to others who have more or can do more? Do you doubt if you have a lot to offer?

What if God doesn't want you to give "a lot"...but rather to give "all" you have...even if it's just a little? Giving a little can still be giving "all"!

Take a few minutes to meditate on the powerful Hebrew word-concept of "hineni", saying "Here I am" to God and offering Him every bit of ourselves...no matter how little!

Never forget that God is enough! God has enough! It is God's strength we need, He just wants our wholehearted love!

Most of us have ideas about who God is that are not based in biblical truth. We might think of Him like an angry father, or as a distant God who isn't really listening to our prayers. But we can know who God is by looking at the life and person of Jesus, because just as Jesus said in John 14, "Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me."

Just as God promised through the prophets (Joel 2:28), He still speaks in dreams and visions to His people today! Take a few minutes to listen to the beautiful vision and message that God gave to Rachel Caetano, and ask Him to continue to reveal Himself to you!

Is it in you...? When difficulty finds us--and it will--does faith come out of you because it's in you? Does peace come out of you because it already resides within you? Does hope pour out of you because you're full of confidence in God? Does the power and love of the Holy Spirit come out of you because He's in you? Find encouragement and instruction from Paul's letter to Timothy to put our whole trust and hope and faith confidently in God's power!
