He Is Risen!
Luke 24:1-12 NLT
But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. [2] They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. [3] So they went in, but they didn't find the body of the Lord Jesus. [4] As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes. [5] The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, "Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? [6] He isn't here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, [7] that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day." [8] Then they remembered that he had said this. [9] So they rushed back from the tomb to tell his eleven disciples-and everyone else-what had happened. [10] It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and several other women who told the apostles what had happened. [11] But the story sounded like nonsense to the men, so they didn't believe it. [12] However, Peter jumped up and ran to the tomb to look. Stooping, he peered in and saw the empty linen wrappings; then he went home again, wondering what had happened.
Acts 2:22-36 BSB
Men of Israel, listen to this message: Jesus of Nazareth was a man certified by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs, which God did among you through Him, as you yourselves know. [23] He was delivered up by God’s set plan and foreknowledge, and you, by the hands of the lawless, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross. [24] But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches. [25] David says about Him: ‘I saw the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. [26] Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will dwell in hope, [27] because You will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. [28] You have made known to me the paths of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence.’ [29] Brothers, I can tell you with confidence that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. [30] But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that He would place one of his descendants on his throne. [31] Foreseeing this, David spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that He was not abandoned to Hades, nor did His body see decay. [32] God has raised this Jesus to life, to which we are all witnesses. [33] Exalted, then, to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. [34] For David did not ascend into heaven, but he himself says: ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand [35] until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”’ [36] Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ!”
Romans 10:9-13 NLT
If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. [10] For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. [11] As the Scriptures tell us, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced." [12] Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. [13] For "Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved."
