I am based in Los Angeles, but since the beginning of the pandemic I have been working with clients via Zoom and by phone. It is equally effective and allows me to help people no matter where they live.

Well hello friends.
My business FB account has been laying dormant for sometime...
I have decided to return and I find that other businesses are posting their ads on it.
I'm trying to sort this out with FB, but in the meantime: This is the McKENZIE HYPNOSIS page.
I do not endorse or know the first thing about any other service that has posted here.
I'm not happy about this. I wish that FB had a working phone number or useful article that would help. But in the meantime, I will continue to do my best to figure this out.
You'll have to balance your Chakras without me.
But if you are interested in hypnotherapy, go to mckenziehypnosis.com
Thanks!

This is not easy for anyone.

Hypnotherapy can help with stress, anxiety, depression, fear, frustration, motivation, sleep problems and many other issues.

During this time, I’m treating clients on Zoom and over the phone. Both are absolutely effective.

So if you are struggling right now or if you’re just curious about hypnosis, please check out my website and give me a call.

I’d be happy to talk with you and answer any questions you have so that you can decide if hypnotherapy might benefit you.

I really would like to help.

Tina

This was read at the end of my meditation session this morning and seemed particularly meaningful to me right now, so I wanted to share it with you.

“This is the time to be slow,
Lie low to the wall
Until the bitter weather passes.

Try, as best you can, not to let
The wire brush of doubt
Scrape from your heart
All sense of yourself
And your hesitant light.

If you remain generous,
Time will come good;
And you will find your feet
Again on fresh pastures of promise,
Where the air will be kind
And blushed with beginning.”

This article was in my news feed this morning and I thought it might be helpful to share it. I would prefer the word "resilient" to "strong" myself, but that's a quibble.

Research reveals how you can reduce your anxiety and stress during COVID-19.

Hi. Long time no post, huh?

Well, I'm here and checking in with an important update: In addition to seeing clients at my office, I also do sessions by phone and Zoom. And for the duration of the coronavirus, all sessions will be done remotely.

These sessions are just as effective as face to face ones, I've had really good results with them.

Right now, since so many of us are experiencing anxiety, I wanted to pass this along.

My best to everybody and stay safe!

Tina

THE HISTORY OF HYPNOSIS February, 2018 installment: JAMES BRAID

Dr. Mayo, the English surgeon who witnessed Dr. Cloquet’s successful use of a trance state to anesthetize a patient during surgery, was asked later why he didn’t employ it in his practice. Simple answer: there was so much prejudice that lingered after Mesmer’s fall, that he knew it would ruin his career. Those who did practice Mesmerism had to keep it quiet.

But some persistent Mesmerists kept demonstrating its benefits, and things began to turn around in the mid-19th century.

In the 1840s, a Scottish doctor named James Braid became a major figure in history of hypnosis. After seeing a travelling Mesmer show from Switzerland, he began studying the subject and writing about it.

The experiments and writing of this respectable doctor removed the suspicion and mystery, interest in the scientific community was renewed and new applications began to be discovered. And Braid did one more thing, he adopted a new name for the practice, “hypnosism.”
