Temple Judea

Temple Judea We invite you to join for services this weekend. You will find that Temple Judea is a spiritual home. L'hitraot - until we meet,
Rabbi Joshua M. Aaronson

Temple Judea is a vibrant, Jewish community with a variety of outstanding religious programming taking place at our campus in Tarzana. Our hope is that by becoming a part of our synagogue community, your life will be enriched. Our tradition teaches us that synagogues are meant to fulfill three major functions for us in our lives:

As a Bet Tefilah, a house of prayer, Temple Judea serves as a spiri

tual beacon, welcoming us for our celebrations Dr, consoling us at times of sadness, and allowing us to pause in our hectic lives for the moments of reflection that Shabbat and the holidays can bring. As a Bet Midrash, Temple Judea is truly a place for learning. We are a learning community through our fine schools which serve toddlers through high schoolers. We are also a learning community of adults, concerned about searching our tradition to finding meaning in our lives. As a Bet Knesset, a community center, we reach inward to ensure that we are meeting the social, spiritual and communal needs of our members. From our youth groups, to our active Havurot and senior programs, Temple Judea is always on the move! As members of the larger community, we turn outward and are involved with the issues of our city, our nation and our world. I invite you to join us for Shabbat, for study, for a feeling of community. Experience a place filled with people who share your values, your dreams, your beliefs; a warm and haimish place, with open doors and open hearts. If you have any questions, drop by or call us at (818) 758-3800. Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot, Rabbi Eric Rosenstein, Rabbi Bruce Raff, Lisa Whitman, our Early Childhood Center Director, join me in looking forward to meeting you and sharing the life of this dynamic Jewish community with you!

11-If you had to pick one word to describe your Bat Mitzvah experience what would it be and why?

One word I would use to describe my Bat Mitzvah experience would be procrastination. I procrastinated everything but I still managed to get everything done and in time. ⏰

We'd like to extend a huge Mazal Tov to Rabbi Cantor Alison Wissot and Rabbi Bruce Raff! Today, they will receive honorary doctorates from HUC in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their ordinations. Over the years, they have shaped our congregation in countless ways; lifting our voices in prayer, teaching generations of students, and standing beside our families during life’s most sacred moments. We are incredibly proud and grateful for the work they do for our community each and every day, and celebrate this milestone alongside them.
