Good day. A word to encourage:

“I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”
— Psalm 16:8

When we keep our eyes fixed on the Lord, the challenges and concerns of this life are put into proper perspective. Circumstances may change, and trials may come, but God’s presence remains constant.

The concerns of this life always fade as we compare them to the eternal glory of His Kingdom. When the Lord is before us and beside us, we can stand firm with confidence, knowing that He is our strength, our guide, and our refuge.

May your heart be encouraged today as you trust in His unfailing presence.

Blessings!

Numbers 6:24:

“The Lord bless you and keep you.”

This verse is the opening line of the priestly blessing that God gave to Moses to speak over the people of Israel. Though simple, it carries profound meaning.

Blessed and Kept:

Everyone longs for security, provision, and peace. In this beautiful blessing, God reminds us that our greatest source of all three is found in Him.

“The Lord bless you” speaks of God’s favor, provision, and goodness in our lives. His blessings are not limited to material things; they include His presence, grace, wisdom, and strength for each day.

“And keep you” speaks of His protection and care. God watches over His children, guarding their hearts and guiding their steps even through difficult seasons.

What a comfort to know that we do not walk through life alone. The God who created the heavens and the earth is also the God who keeps watch over you.

Today, rest in this promise:
You are blessed by God.
You are kept by God.
You are never beyond His care.

Reflection Question:
How have you seen God’s blessing and protection at work in your life recently?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your blessings and Your faithful care. Help me to trust that You are watching over me, providing for me, and guiding me each day. May I rest in the assurance that I am held securely in Your hands. Amen.

Matthew 6:33:

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

These words from Jesus Christ come in the middle of a teaching about worry and anxiety. Jesus reminds His followers that God knows their needs and invites them to make Him their first priority.

Seek First:

It’s easy to become consumed with the demands of life—work, finances, health, family, and the uncertainty of tomorrow. Yet Jesus offers a simple but life-changing principle: Seek God first.

Notice that Jesus doesn’t say, “Seek your needs first.” He says, “Seek His kingdom and His righteousness.”

When God becomes our first pursuit:

* Our priorities become clearer.
* Our worries begin to lose their grip.
* Our trust in God’s provision grows.

Seeking God first doesn’t mean ignoring responsibilities. It means placing Him at the center of everything we do and trusting Him with the results.

The world says, “Take care of yourself first.” Jesus says, “Seek God first.”

When we put God in His rightful place, we discover that He is faithful to provide what we truly need.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to seek You above all else. When distractions, worries, and responsibilities pull at my attention, remind me to keep my eyes fixed on You. Align my heart with Your kingdom and teach me to trust Your provision each day. Amen.

Join Us for Worship This Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

We invite you to worship with us this Sunday at Bull Creek United Presbyterian Church.

Rev. Victoria Wellstead will bring the message, “Two Calls and Two Miracles,” based on Genesis 12:1–9 and Matthew 9:9–13, 18–26.

In Genesis, God calls Abram to leave the familiar and step out in faith. In Matthew, Jesus calls Matthew to follow Him, while also demonstrating His power through two remarkable miracles. Together, these passages remind us that God’s call is accompanied by His presence, His power, and His promises.

We hope you will join us for worship, fellowship, and encouragement as we gather to praise God and grow in faith.

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” — Psalm 27:14

Waiting is often one of the hardest parts of our faith journey. Yet God uses those seasons to deepen our trust, build our character, and strengthen our hearts. His timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own.

We must trust God to refine and strengthen our faith, even through fires He did not cause. What the enemy intends for harm, God can use for growth, perseverance, and His glory.

Take courage today. God is working, even in the waiting.

Hebrews 1:1 :
“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways.”

This opening verse of Epistle to the Hebrews reminds us that God is a God who speaks. Throughout history, He revealed Himself through prophets, visions, dreams, miracles, and His Word. God did not leave humanity without guidance—He continually reached out to His people.

A God Who Speaks:

From the beginning, God has desired a relationship with His people. Hebrews 1:1 reminds us that He communicated His truth throughout history in many different ways.

The beautiful truth is that God is not silent. He has always been speaking—calling people to trust Him, follow Him, and know Him more deeply.

Today, God speaks through:

* His Word
* The Holy Spirit
* Prayer
* Godly counsel
* Circumstances that draw us closer to Him

The question is often not whether God is speaking, but whether we are listening.

In a noisy world filled with distractions, make time to hear His voice. Open His Word. Spend time in prayer. Sit quietly in His presence.

The God who spoke through the prophets is the same God who desires to guide and encourage you today.

Reflection Question:
What can you do today to make more room to hear God’s voice?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being a God who speaks. Help me to quiet the distractions around me and listen for Your voice. Open my heart to Your Word and guide me in Your truth. Amen.

Proverbs 10:6–14 —
“Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” — Proverbs 10:12

In these verses, Proverbs contrasts the lives of the wise and the foolish, the righteous and the wicked. A recurring theme is the power of our words and the condition of our hearts.

The wise seek knowledge, speak with discernment, and bring life to those around them. The foolish speak carelessly, creating trouble for themselves and others.

One of the most powerful truths in this passage is found in verse 12: “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” Hatred looks for reasons to divide, accuse, and keep score. Love seeks reconciliation, extends grace, and chooses forgiveness.

In a world filled with criticism, gossip, and division, God calls His people to be known by wisdom, kindness, and love.

Before speaking, ask:

* Will these words build up or tear down?
* Will they bring peace or create conflict?
* Do they reflect the heart of Christ?

Our words have the power to wound deeply or to bring healing and encouragement.

Reflection:
Are your words today reflecting wisdom, grace, and love?

Prayer:
Lord, guard my heart and my mouth. Help me to speak words that bring life, encouragement, and peace. Give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to remain silent. May my words reflect Your love and bring glory to You. Amen.
