Well, the Lord has gotten us resettled in Tarboro, NC and given us some tasks both in our new community and in our new church home, Calvary Parish Episcopal Church. And now He has sent Pastor Sam Griffin and the Sunrise Missionary Baptist Church of New Tazewell, TN. to us to help this congregation of saints to create a brand new worship center! PTL!

During my morning devotional today, I read a short article in this month's In Touch magazine. The article was an interview with Keith and Kristyn Getty, the hymn writers we have all seen on both Dr. Stanley's and Dr. Jeremiah's broadcasts. One of Kristyn's statement just REALLY grabbed me "....It's a wonderful thing to be creative, and whenever people are, they show what it means to be made in God's image. I think it is incredibly honoring to the Lord when we serve Him with our gifts - in everything we do." That thought pretty well sums up how we at Christian Carpenters' Foundation feel about our ministry. We would invite you to use the education, experience, grace and love God has given you in joining us to expand His kingdom!

Dearest Friends of CCF, we have been saddened this week by the passing of Edwin Robertson of Pump Springs Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN. A saint, a brother, a friend, and truly Christ's disciple, words cannot express how much we loved this man. Perhaps the most fitting tribute to Edwin, is what one of his favorite teachers, Dr. Henry Blackaby, said, "when you see God working, adjust what you are doing and come alongside God in His work". Whether it was Standing in the Gap, prison ministries, Celebrate Recovery, the many services of Servolution or the youth choir of his church, Edwin was always there. Perhaps his life can serve as an inspiration to us all to keep God as our first priority in this life.
