First Brethren Church

First Brethren Church First Brethren Church is a small but historical church in Taos, NM. We are devoted above all to the sound, expository preaching and teaching of the Bible.

[Taken from our 2017 Church Constitution:]

The covenant by which First Brethren Church shall exist at a distinct body, and which every member shall accept, shall be as follows:

We the several members of First Brethren Church, being a body of baptized Christian believers, acknowledging Jesus Christ to be our only Lord and Savior; and accepting the Holy Scriptures as the supreme and exclusive rule

and norm of all our faith and practice; and recognizing the right and duty of uniting ourselves in intentional fellowship with Christians of like faith and confession; and likewise recognizing the right and duty of convening regularly together in said Christian fellowship for the public, corporate worship of God; do, in the sight of God and invoking His blessing, solemnly covenant and agree to associate ourselves harmoniously as a church of the Lord Jesus Christ, as warranted by the Holy Scriptures, and as organized under the terms of this constitution.
