New Genesis Community Church was birthed in the heart of Bishop Sam Rice, Th.D and Pastor Yvette Rice, Th.D in 2002. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit, the ministry was inspired from the scripture II Corinthians 5:17, which says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” God commissioned Bishop Sam and Pastor Yvette to preach the gospel and teach His children how to walk in the newness of life, fulfilling their God given destines by providing an atmosphere for:

*Praise, worship, teaching and preaching, allowing the Holy Spirit to lead.

*Providing an environment to perfect and fully equip the saints of God for Kingdom Work through evangelism and outreach while being lead by the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

*Promoting all to have an active role in fulfilling the vision of the church, exercising their God-given gifts.

A Widow’s Business Plan: From Debt to Financial Freedom

Ladies, if God’s favor were added to your faith and willingness to act, your expertise and God’s Wisdom, and your commitment to stewardship, what level of business could you experience in the Marketplace?

Throughout the Bible, we see women making decisions, conducting business, managing resources, and using what they had to bless others.

I believe God continues to call His daughters to bring faith, Wisdom, and excellence into the Marketplace. In 2 Kings 4:1–7, a widow overcome by debt and whose sons were about to be sold into slavery follows God’s direction through the prophet Elisha, sells the oil she had in her home, pays her debt, and uses the remainder to support her household.

God’s Favor opens possibilities; Faith moves us to act; God’s Wisdom helps us build; and Stewardship opens opportunities and doors for others.
