Agape Family Fellowship Agape Family Fellowship
Worship Service is at 10:30am every Sunday. Join us here for Live Stream. We want people to experience the freedom Jesus came to give us.

This includes freedom from past painful experiences, hopelessness, the empty promises of our world, and anything else that would rob us of the satisfying life that Christ offers. Then we can take this new freedom and let it not only propel us into our new identity in Jesus Christ, but also to give us the power and the ability to live it out. God wants to use us to bring His change to this world! W

hat does "Agape" mean? Agape (agápē) is a Greek word (ἀγάπη) that the New Testament uses to describe a certain kind of love, a deep, unconditional love that was the reason Jesus Christ went to the cross for us. This same word is used in John 3:16, in 1 Co 13:1-8 when speaking about the outworking and nature of love, and in 1 John 4:8 to describe God Himself. Isn't that amazing? What is Church? In the New Testament, the Greek word 'ekklēsia' (ἐκκλησία), which we translate as 'Church', is used for the first time when Jesus declares, "Upon this rock I will build my Church" (Matthew 16:18). He's not speaking about a rock or building. The word ekklēsia literally means 'those who are called out'; Jesus is speaking about the people. Church is people doing life together, and moving together in a common direction with a common purpose, functioning together like different parts of one body (1 Co 12:13-15). None of us are are able to make it alone.

Meet our pastor!

Preston Mitchell serves as the pastor of Agape Family Fellowship. Born and raised in Simi Valley, California, Pastor Preston felt the call to deeper ministry and in 2019 moved to Silverton, Oregon to attend Koinonia Bible School at Christian Renewal Center. This nine-month program, located near the beautiful Silver Falls State Park, played a significant role in shaping his biblical foundation and passion for ministry.

During this time, Pastor Preston met Pastor Dee Duke of Jefferson Baptist Church and enrolled in their apprenticeship program, where he served in their college, high school, and junior high ministries. Alongside hands-on ministry, he pursued formal theological training and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministry from Trinity College of the Bible and Theological Seminary.

In 2022, Pastor Preston married his wife, Meraiah Mitchell, and began his work at Agape Family Fellowship that same year. He has been serving the church ever since, with a heart for teaching God’s Word, discipling believers, and showing love to the community God has blessed him with.

Join us this evening from 6-8 pm in The Well for day 3 of 5 days of prayer!
These nights are set aside to intentionally seek the Lord together and pray for the ministries at Agape and the needs of our church.
Along with prayer, we’re encouraging everyone to fast something during this week and offer it to the Lord—whether that’s food, social media, entertainment, or something else that normally takes your attention. Fasting helps us slow down, refocus, and remind ourselves that our dependence is ultimately on God, not on the things we consume or cling to.
