This week, we had the immense honor of placing more than 200 books into the hands of children at summer camps in our area. Every book represented more than pages. It represented possibility, confidence, and opportunity.

Reading is the foundation of every child’s future, and the work doesn’t stop when the school year ends. Summer literacy support is essential because every child deserves the chance to grow, dream, and succeed.

Florida’s reading challenges remind us why this work matters. Recent education recovery data ranked Florida 45th out of 50 states in reading literacy, between 2019 and 2025, underscoring the urgent need for continued investment in literacy for our youngest learners.

We’re grateful to be part of the solution, one book, one child, and one story at a time.

Because when we invest in literacy, we invest in the future. 📚❤️

Yesterday, our leader Pastor Antonio D. Owens, had the privilege of attending the Hillsborough County Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony.

Juneteenth serves as a powerful reminder of resilience, progress, and the ongoing pursuit of freedom and opportunity for all. It was inspiring to stand alongside community leaders, public servants, and residents as we honored the significance of this day and reflected on the contributions of those who came before us.

As leaders, we have a responsibility to not only remember history but to continue building stronger, more equitable communities for future generations.

Yesterday our Area Leader, Pastor Antonio D. Owens attended County Commissioner Gwen Myers Town Hall in Progress Village just across the street from my local church.

There were so many resources and information that we can’t wait to share with our Area churches (people suffer for lack of knowledge).
