Three years ago today, on October 7, 2023, Israel and the Jewish world experienced a day of unimaginable violence, loss, fear, and pain.
For three years, we have carried the weight of that day.
We remember those who were murdered, those who were taken hostage, and those who survived but continue to live with the deep physical and emotional trauma of what they experienced. We remember the soldiers who gave their lives protecting Israel and our people, and all those whose pain became too great to bear.
Today, we pause to remember, to grieve, and to pray for healing, peace, and the safety of Israel and Jewish communities everywhere.
I invite you to stop by Rodeph Sholom today, from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and light a candle in memory of those we lost and in hope for all those who are still hurting.
At noon today, I will lead a brief ceremony at Rodeph Sholom, including the recitation of El Maleh Rachamim, to remember those we have lost.
You are welcome to join me in person or via Zoom using the daily minyan link. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86154618673?pwd=cEhrS0lRWHRucHVrNE9ZYm5ITHdxdz09

May we never forget.
May their memories be a blessing.
May those who are hurting find healing.
And may there be peace.
Am Yisrael Chai.
