Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church Children's Ministry

Becoming Disciples in God's Love PCPC Children's Ministry seeks to walk with children and their families in their journey of Christian faith.

We do this through worship, faith formation and educational opportunities, and service.

We had so much fun at our play group kick off. We built houses, made new friends, and ate popsicles.

Join us next week, Thursday September 24th, from 4:00-5:30 pm on the playground.

Yesterday, we kicked off our four week welcome to worship class by playing the organ, ringing the steeple bell, naming the different parts of the worship space, and learning more about sermons from Pastor Kenny.

In the Nursery, Godly Play, and Sunday School, we learned about forgiveness. In the Bible story, it tells us that we should forgive 7 times 70 times.

Justice Seekers participated in different centers about being a neighbor by creating one via legos, reading books about neighbors, painting the word neighbor and just being in community with one another.

We witnessed another baptism at the vespers service.

We have some amazing news! Play Groups are officially back.

Join us this Tuesday September 15th from 4:00-5:30 pm on the playground.

This groups is designed for children 6+ and under. An adult must stay the whole time.

Friends are always welcome to join.

Tonight we moved, danced, and sang about animals in Music and Movement and Joyful Noise rehearsed a song.

Join us for Wednesday Night Dinner!

Dinner is served from 5-6 pm in the fellowship hall. High chairs provided.

The menu is Parmesan crusted chicken, pasta with butter/pesto, Italian salad, fruit salad, yellow squash and zucchini, and dessert.

Music and Movement is from 5:10-5:40 pm in Westminster 202/204 for infants to Pre-K 3 and an adult. This is a non performance class.

Joyful Noise is rehearsing from 5:00-5:45 pm in Westminster 210. This choir is for Pre-K 4 (4 by Sept. 1, 2026) to 1st grade. The choir is led by Kelly Slovinac and Sarah Stichter.

Junior Choir is rehearsing from 5:00-5:45 pm in the sanctuary. This choir is for 2nd to 5th graders. This choir is led by Ashley Greenfield and Stephanie Taylor.

Get out some energy in the courtyard after dinner. A fence is up blocking the road.

All are welcome around the table.

Welcome to Worship begins this Sunday, September 13th, from 10- 11 am for 2nd graders and a parent/caregiver.

This class helps 2nd graders transition out of Godly Play and learn about how they can be part of the full worship service with the community of believers.

The class is led by Allison Kelly, Anna Shuford, Elders, and Pastors.

2nd graders will participate in the communion liturgy on October 4th.

Today we learned about different names for Jesus like the Good Shepherd, Christ, Son of God, and the Bread of Life.

We broke bread throughout the morning in the Nursery, Godly Play and the Worship Services.

Tomorrow is a Communion Sunday. At Palma Ceia, all are welcome to partake in communion.

Children are always welcome to remain with their families during any worship service, if you prefer.

Worship bags are available to make in the Narthex and the back of the multi-purpose room. Please place items back in respective baskets after the service is over.

The nursery is available from 8:15 am to 12:15 pm in Eastminster 103 for infants to preschoolers.

Godly Play is offered after the children's message at the 8:30, 9:00, and 11:00 am worship services for Pre-K 3 - 2nd* grade.

The prayground is available after the children's message at the 9:00 am Connection (Contemporary) Service.

*2nd graders can participate in Godly Play through the completion of Welcome to Worship on Sunday, September 27th.

Last night at Music and Movement, we started our unit on animals. We moved, sang, and used instruments with different songs.

Join us next week for Music and Movement from 5:10-5:40 pm in Westminster 202/204.

Join us tomorrow for Wednesday Night Dinner, Music and Movement (infant to Pre-K 3), Joyful Noise (Pre-K 4 to 1st grade), and Junior Choir (2nd to 5th grade).

Music and Movement meets in Westminster 202/204. It’s a non performance class. An adult must attend the class.

Joyful Noise rehearses in Westminster 210.

Junior rehearses in the sanctuary.

After dinner, get out some energy in the courtyard.
