Founded in 1952, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and Day School remains a beacon of hope on South Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida. Our beautiful sanctuary hosts joy-filled, deep-rooted, and participatory liturgy on Sundays throughout the year, and many other special occasions and events throughout each week. Join us as we start Celebration Sundays! The first Sunday of every month we will celebrate ALL the things. New car? Celebrate! New job, promotion, retirement? Celebrate! Anniversary, engagement, birthday? Celebrate! Pregnancy, new baby, new grandbaby? Celebrate! Cake will be provided!

When we reach out to each other and celebrate with each other, we multiply our joys. This also works to divide sorrows. When we take care with our existing relationships, new ones are easier to create!

Join us for worship this Sunday, August 30. Join us in serving our unhoused neighbors at Faith Cafe 4pm Sunday evening. Lunch is served daily as well. I'm certain help is appreciated.

It may seem that Jesus is challenging his disciples when he asks them "Who do you say that I am?" Peter, however, was not taken aback, but answered from the heart. Our reactions are no one's choice but our own, and oftentimes, when we feel challenged, we balk. The words we use have the power to transform lives. Are you choosing your words wisely, and trying to use them for good?
