The Beulah Family sends our congratulations to Maryland-based Attorney Tara Jackson, sister of our First Lady, "Lady J."

This past Tuesday, June 24, Marylanders stepped into the ballot box to cast their votes in the primary election for Prince George’s County State’s Attorney.

The people of P.G. County awarded Mrs. Jackson with 55% of total votes cast.

As the incumbent in the race, Mrs. Jackson told voters that she will stay “rooted in principle, despite how the circumstances around us might change.” The primary decides the election; no Republicans ran for the seat.

She acknowledged her faith as a huge part of her success on the campaign trail and in life.

Many members of Beulah prayed for Jackson and her family every step of the way.

Now, the Beulah Family continues to pray that God will use Prince George’s State’s Attorney Tara Jackson all for His glory.

Today, the Beulah Family honors those men whose love, strength, and faithfulness have guided children, offered a better way to the wayward, and fortified households for generations.

Happy Father’s Day to the fathers, uncles, mentors, and father-figures in our community. ❤️

2 Samuel 7:14-15: “I will be a father to him, and he’ll be a son to me. When he does wrong, I’ll discipline him in the usual ways, the pitfalls and obstacles of this mortal life. But I’ll never remove my gracious love from him.”

Today, we celebrate the legacy of struggle and resistance that lead to the liberation of enslaved people at the close of the Civil War.

On June 19, 1865, Union troops led by Major General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and issued General Order No. 3. This historic announcement informed the enslaved people of Texas that they were free, enforcing the Emancipation Proclamation more than two years after it was originally signed.

Several moments of jubilation swept across the south leading up to this historic event. However, June 19th holds special significance because Texas was the last state to enact General Order No. 3. Juneteenth underlines the notion that none are free until ALL are free.

As we gather to celebrate Juneteenth, lets remember that freedom is not free. We as Americans, regardless of our ancestors entry into this great nation, must continue to guard our rights and the freedom our ancestors fought and died for.

Then and now, we must break every chain that bounds us. Let freedom ring!

This past Sunday, June 7, the Beulah Family celebrated the fourth anniversary of a blessed relationship between Pastor Alan and Lady J Harris and the BBIC congregation.
The Beulah Family celebrated in grand style at the Lowry Center! 🥳

The arrival of Pastor Harris at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church meant the start of a new movement in faith-based outreach, Christian leadership, and compassion.
Pastor Harris is known as BBIC's "Lead Servant," a title he has earned over the past four years.

You may have missed last Sunday's excitement. Don't feel bad. The Word of God is always giving us a reason to celebrate. We always have a praise party going on. 🎉✝️ So, you are always welcome to join us for any of our weekly activities.

On Sunday, Pastor Harris offered six people the Right Hand of Fellowship.

They accepted! 🤗💕
Their smiles are real.

Now, the body of Christ at BBIC is growing. More growth means more blessings are on the way to our community. 😇

Why? Because we put in the work.
Our members are taught to labor for the glory of God.

Best part is our Heavenly Father renews our strength daily. 💪

Congratulations to our new members! We are excited to experience the wonderful and marvelous things the Spirit of the Living God will do through you.

Motherhood has a special role within the church.

Like Timothy’s mother Eunice and grandmother Lois, a mother is often the first "theologian" a child encounters, passing down a sincere faith that becomes a compass for the next generation.

Through their words and daily acts of love, Christian mothers are sharing the gospel with their children and community.
