From Turkey to Uganda to Italy… and now back home.

Welcome home Pastor Svend & Miss Katy! 💚

Over the past few weeks they traveled to Turkey to meet their granddaughter, visited the school project in Uganda, and spent time in Italy reconnecting with Lifesong family.

We’re grateful for the ways God continues to connect our church family across the world, and we’re so glad to have them back home.

It’s about a transformed heart.

Pastor Chris reminded us that,
good works don’t save us - but they shape us.
When our heart is aligned with God,
our discernment sharpens,
and obedience becomes clearer.

Examine your heart.
Seek His wisdom.
Then do the RIGHT thing.

Today, I let go.
And I let God.

In Mark 9, Jesus reminds us that some things don’t move through effort alone. They are released through prayer and fasting — through dependence, not control.
(Mark 9:29)

As we fast and pray, we begin to recognize what we’ve been holding onto —
fear, anxiety, the need to manage outcomes — and we choose to place them back where they belong.

Fasting teaches us surrender.
Prayer teaches us trust.
And sometimes faith looks like opening our hands and letting God carry what we cannot.

Some things don’t move until the interference is removed.

Jesus speaks of belief — and moments later we hear the honest cry of a father asking for help with his unbelief.
(Mark 9:23–24)

Fasting doesn’t give us power — God’s Word does.
But fasting quiets the flesh so we can truly believe what God has already spoken, without distraction, pride, or self-reliance getting in the way.
This season, may God reveal what’s been hindering our faith,
so we can lay it aside and follow Him with undivided hearts.
