We invited two couples in our Compass community to share about their experiences in the romantic world from the perspectives of having experienced their growing up years as a missionary kid and of the other person in the relationship with the missionary kid.

Closing the series today, we have the pleasure of introducing the remaining member of the Women's Residential Discipleship team.

As the Spiritual Director, Vivian has an interest in how the residents relate with God and how their rearing experience abroad influences their outlook in life. She walks alongside each resident, and she helps them set goals, provides cross-cultural transition resources, and seeks to encourage the residents to dive deep and invest in these areas of their lives during their time in the program.

Vivian takes on this role with a strong desire to help the residents achieve the goals they set for themselves and lead them toward renewal and healing with her gentle spirit, curiosity, tenderness, and respect for the residents, similar to a shepherd.

Today, we take time to introduce a vital part of the Women's Residential Discipleship Program team. An-Chi is in contact with the residents on a daily basis, setting a standard for community life within the residence and acting as a model for how to lead a Spirit-filled life.

As the House Manager, An-Chi is tasked with a multitude of things, including planning bonding activities, leading house meetings, and providing peer support. Applying facets attained during her English Education studies, she rallies behind the Spiritual Director, and together they continue to develop the programs' curriculum to provide excellent care, population-specific training, and preparation for independent living.

Without missing a beat, An-Chi charges forward with unwavering dedication and a diligent tenacity to accomplish all that is before her. She is an indispensable asset to the team, and her caring heart is inspiring.

In the coming weeks, we will introduce the caring team that is involved with overseeing our Women's Residential Discipleship Program. They are essential to making the residents feel welcome, loved, cared for, that they belong, and aiding them in reaching the goals they have set for themselves.

Starting with Amanda, as Compass Ministries' Clinical Director and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, she works closely with the team and provides the residents with top-tier support and mental health counseling. Amanda is a part of the interview process during the intake and evaluation upon acceptance to the program. She carries her duties with compassion and a heart that fears God.

Take A Sneak Peek of What A Week at Our Residential Discipleship Program Might Look Like.

Devotional time, Bible Study with +Compass Home group, Women's fellowship, going to church, work, relationships, church life, chores, and community outings are examples of experiences residents may partake in while in the program and as part of the community. The program staff is ready to walk alongside them during the ups and downs of cross-cultural transition and life adjustments.
