The mission of the Brotherhood of Kol Ami is to provide service, support and spirit to Congregation Kol Ami. With a variety of programs throughout the year you have the opportunity to be with men in settings which encourage you to truly connect and bond with each other and to meet the vast range of needs of the men of Kol Ami. Whether it is a 2nd Sunday brunch and lecture with a compelling speaker
, doing mitzvahs for others, serving the synagogue community or purely social occasions, the Brotherhood of Kol Ami will surely be a way for you to find fulfillment at Kol Ami. Brotherhood is a member of the Federation of Jewish Men’s Clubs. Brotherhood is known for its fun activities: Our annual Ci**rs and Scotch Night, Craft Beer Tasting Night, Firearm Safety Night, Steaks in the Sukkah, Super Bowl party, various happy hours and game watching parties for our local sports teams. As fun as it is having those events, Brotherhood is much more. We host events such as Hearing Men's Voices, a discussion group about various issues that affect men. Issues such as dealing w/ grief and loss, men's health issues, our roles as Jewish men and parents, and more. We host guest speakers dealing with various topics such as the author of a book about Jewish Prisoners of War (POW) guards, Israel advocacy, and other topical issues. Our Chai Guys group, led by Darren Kasanetz, helps beautify and clean the shul with landscaping, leaf raking, pressure washing, and more. Most importantly, Brotherhood is YOU. We want input from our members and prospective members. We are hear to support and encourage all our members and are here for them in any special time of need. I look forward to leading Brotherhood for the next two years and would love to grow our organization. Do not hesitate to reach out. B'Shalom,
Jon Zimmer
