NOW HIRING - High School Learning Center Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Teachers are responsible for supervising a learning center. For example, High School teachers will oversee 30-35 students from grades nine to twelve. The curriculum is Accelerated Christian Education (ACE); students work at their own pace and independently on all major subjects. Learning center supervisors maintain classroom management, work on weekly goals for all students, grade, do break-out groups, and other activities once the main PACE work is completed, and interact with parents throughout the student's enrollment period.
Qualifications:
Must have at least a Bachelor's degree, but a Master's Degree is preferred. The Learning Center Supervisor (teacher) should have a good understanding of the developmental stages of adolescents, and have the ability to communicate well, and have basic knowledge of various learning disorders, i.e., ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia (understanding math concepts), Dysgraphia (organizing thoughts on paper, etc.), and other issues, i.e., social cues, communication, etc. Teachers are not experts in these areas, but should have a basic understanding and knowledge that students will struggle with various issues. Teachers need at least three years of experience, and certifications are a plus.
Employment Type: Full-time (7:30AM to 3:30PM)
