✨St. Joseph Parish at the 2026 Hispanic Diocesan Mass
On October 10, parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church participated in the 2026 Hispanic Diocesan Mass at the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle, celebrated with Bishop Gregory Parkes in honor of Our Lady of Suyapa, Patroness of Honduras.💙

Our parishioners contributed to this beautiful celebration by singing the Responsorial Psalm during Mass and participating in the procession of flags, proudly carrying the flag of Spain. We are grateful for the opportunity to represent our parish and join our diocesan family in celebrating the richness of Hispanic faith, culture, and traditions that unite us in Christ.

✈As part of his studies in Rome, Fr. Nelson visited the country of Tunisia! From celebrating the Eucharist at the ancient Christian basilica of Bulla Regia, where St. Augustine himself once preached, to sharing a joyful multilingual Sunday Mass with the community of Saint Felix, Fr. Nelson was reminded of the universality of the Church and our call to be missionary disciples.

In his reflection, Fr. Nelson shares how these experiences brought him back to the heart of our vocation: to know Christ, allow His mercy to transform us, and joyfully bring the Gospel to others.

📖 We invite you to read his full reflection in the parish bulletin:

On September 7, my sabbatical officially began in Rome. We are a group of 25 priests from different dioceses, gathered for a time of formation, spiritual renewal, and priestly fraternity.

We began our sabbatical in a very special way: by celebrating the Eucharist at the tomb of St. Peter. For me, it was a deeply meaningful moment, because I had the opportunity to place these coming months in the hands of the Lord and to offer the Eucharist for each and every member of St. Joseph Parish.

As I celebrated, I felt profound gratitude for all the love, prayers, and support you have given me throughout the nine years I have been serving our parish. Spiritually, I carried all of you with me to that sacred place, so important to our Catholic faith, and I asked the Lord to continue blessing our parish community abundantly.
