The Shunammite Woman is known for the phrase "It is well." She lived in Shunem with her husband. She was barren, and her husband was up in years. Elisha would often stop by and have a meal with them. The Shunammite woman realized Elisha was a man of God, so she asked her husband to build a room for Elisha to lodge in when he visited their home. Elisha wanted to repay her for her kindness, so he prophesied that she would give birth to a son. The prophecy came true, but many years later, the child died. Elisha laid his body across the child's body, and the child was restored to life and opened his eyes. Later, Elisha instructed the woman to leave her home due to an impending seven-year famine. She complied with his instructions, but when the famine ended, she returned home to find that the government had confiscated her land. She and her son went to see the king about restoring her land, and at the same time, Gehazi was visiting the king. He conversed with the king about the woman whose son Elisha had restored to life when they entered the king's palace. Immediately, the king restored her land and all the potential fruit that the land would have produced during her seven-year absence.
