Located at 2810 E. Hillsborough Avenue in East Tampa, the 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐛𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 stands as a lasting tribute to a man whose faith, leadership, and commitment to second chances transformed countless lives.

In 2012, legislation introduced by U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor and signed into law by 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐎𝐛𝐚𝐦𝐚 officially renamed the East Tampa post office in honor of Rev. Abe Brown. The following year, family members, community leaders, and elected officials gathered to celebrate the dedication of the Reverend Abe Brown Post Office and the extraordinary legacy it represents.

More than a building, this post office serves as a reminder of Rev. Brown's lifelong commitment to faith, service, education, mentorship, and hope for those seeking a better future.

Last Friday, the Abe Brown Ministries family had the privilege of sending our 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐂𝐄𝐎, 𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐈𝐈, off as he began a well-deserved three-month sabbatical.

We are deeply grateful to Allegany Franciscan Ministries for making this opportunity possible through its 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦. This innovative initiative recognizes the importance of investing in nonprofit leaders through intentional time for rest, renewal, and personal growth while also strengthening the organizations they serve.

Robert's leadership, vision, and commitment have helped advance the mission of Abe Brown Ministries and positively impact countless lives throughout our community. We are excited for him to embrace this season of reflection and rejuvenation and look forward to welcoming him back with renewed energy and fresh perspectives.

The Abe Brown Ministries team had an incredible time attending the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐍𝐨𝐧𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 yesterday in downtown Tampa.

It was inspiring to join hundreds of nonprofit and business leaders who came together to recharge their purpose, share ideas, and explore bold new strategies for creating lasting impact in our communities. And a big shout-out to 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐳𝐢𝐚𝐧 for his inspiring keynote speech and book signing.

We're grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and bring back fresh insights that will help us continue serving our community and advancing our mission. Thank you to everyone who made this event such a valuable experience!

We were thrilled to see a full field of golfers, enthusiastic supporters, and community partners come together for a day filled with fun, fellowship, and friendly competition—all in support of a truly meaningful cause.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make this year's tournament such a tremendous success.
