St. Lawrence Catholic Church

St. Lawrence Catholic Church St. Lawrence Catholic Church is a parish of the Diocese of Saint Petersburg. As parishioners of St.

Lawrence and as Catholic disciples of Jesus Christ and His Church, we respond to our Lord’s invitation to be faithful to prayer, celebrate the Sacraments, deepen our faith through lifelong formation, serve those in need, and invite others to the fullness of the Catholic faith locally since 1958. You can help our Parish achieve those goals by donating here: https://www.osvhub.com/stlawrencetampa/fu

This week’s Gospel reflection on Matthew 28:16–20 reminds us of Jesus’ final command to His disciples: to go forth, make disciples of all nations, and trust in His abiding presence.

Fr. Zach shared, “To be a disciple is to be willing to embrace your weakness, embrace the struggle of being a disciple, and share the life that the Lord has given us.”

Even in moments of doubt, the Lord calls each of us to worship Him, follow Him faithfully, and witness His love to the world.

Following Jesus means encountering His very life alive within us.

This weeks reflection is on John 14:15-21

This week’s Gospel reflection on John 14:1–12 reminds us that Jesus reveals the heart of the Father to us and invites us to trust Him more deeply.

Fr. Chuck shared: “To imitate Jesus in our dynamic of depth and relationship with the Father, so that when others encounter us, they also experience the love of the heavenly Father.”

May our lives reflect that same love, so others may come to know the Father through the way we live, love, and trust in Christ.

Sometimes it can be hard to recognize Jesus’ voice, and the enemy can convince us that Jesus doesn’t have our best interests at heart. This week’s Gospel reminds us that the more time we spend with Jesus, when the temptation not to trust Him arises, we can say, “I know where that’s coming from. That doesn’t sound like Jesus.”

To hear the full reflection with Fr. Chuck and Fr. Zach, click the link in our story or under the “Reflections” tab in our bio.

This week’s reflection is on John 10:1–10.
