I am in awe this morning. I have been privileged to see God perform His word concerning me over the course of my life. It hasn't been because I've been so good. In fact over the years I've purposely attempted to sabotage my assignment because I just KNEW I wasn't the ONE. My life, I thought was in shambles. I wasn't successful in relationship, the church firsthand saw me fail at marriage over and over again. I was a public embarrassment to the church, my children and a byword in my community. I had been criminalized and was publicly humiliated by the media. My life was a MESS. Yet this morning I sit in the very neighborhood my trouble started in, doing AGAIN the same thing I was called to. I stayed overnight at my church on last night to assist with serving my staff as they served our homeless community. We converted our sanctuary into a cold weather shelter. I awoke this morning to my staff working the work. The Men's ministry serving and praying with the men. The Women's and Evangelism ministry preparing breakfast. Some of the staff stayed overnight to care for our homeless guests. I'm so emotional right now. I'm thankful for Evangelist Sharmaine Williams Burr for coordinating with Hillsborough County to become a cold weather site. I'm grateful for my Legacy Church staff who have served me as their leader and refused to leave even when I quit (in my mind). I'm thankful for my dad Bishop Micheal Lewis who have believed in me and refused my resignation letter all those many years ago 😊❤️. Most of all I'm thankful that God didn't let my vision tarry or allow me to abort my assignment. I prayed for years that God wouldn't allow my people not to be shamed because of my indiscretions. My prayer was that God would sustain me so the people who served me in my frailties would be able to reap from every word and every vision they heard me speak of and earnestly pray about. God did not allow one word to fall to the ground and for that I'm forever grateful‼️
