Chi Alpha Alumni! We wanted to FINALLY post on here 😂. We hope you are all doing awesome! First off, we want to say that we honor each of you and we speak on behalf of our students in saying THANK YOU for your continued interest and investment in USF Chi Alpha! You served as students and now we hope that we can stay connected with you as graduates! We aim to post on here more often. I’m moving here and having our first normal year on campus, we’ve dropped the ball on posting more frequently!
We believe that Chi Alphas main objective is to make disciples that go and make disciples in our campuses, the marketplace, and the world at large! Some of you are a part of the marketplace, some of you are missionaries, but all of you are in the world! Each of you is called to be a minister and to make disciples in your sphere of influence! Never lose sight of that! We are proud of each of you and we hope that each of you are continuing to build your lives on the solid rock or Jesus Christ!
Saying all of that, we wanted to take a moment to connect with you and update you on several things from this past year of ministry. We want to mention our annual fundraiser, and then we want to allow you to take a look at the goals our student leadership team created for this next year!
1. First off, take a look at the pictures we have attached to this post for a look at the year that we’ve had!
2. Here are the Numbers and highlights from this past Fall 2021 - 2022:
• Highest Large Group attendance: 85
• Fall and Spring semester average Large Group attendance: 58
• We finished the year with 80 students actively involved in Chi Alpha.
• We finished the year with 70 students attending small groups
• We were able to start working in a rental office space.
• 10 students have stepped into serving on the worship team.
• 18 new students have been trained to become small group leaders.
• 30 Large Group services were held on campus.
• 37 students came to Fall Retreat
• 10 students came to SALT
• 9 students went on the Alask Spring Break Missions Trip
• We hosted 2 Chi Alpha missions teams in March
God has been so faithful in creating a core of students who are excited and passionate about being Christ followers and disciple makers while they are students!
3. We want to take a moment to say that we are about to enter a month-long Annual Fundraiser starting May 23rd! Last year, many of you gave something to this once-per-year fundraiser! With Gods help, $13,000 was raised last year, and with it we were able to do so much as a ministry. This year, our goal is to raise $15,000. This amount will cover the operational costs and dreams that we have for the upcoming Fall 2022 - Spring 2023! We will reach out to several of you individually, but would you consider giving 50, 100, or potentially even 200 dollars to this Fundraising effort? 4. Here are the goals created by our student leaders for Fall 2022 - Spring 2023:
• At least 120 students in small groups by the end of Fall Semester.
• At least 40 total small group leaders going into Fall 2023.
• We send two missions teams, with one of the trips being overseas.
• An additional staff member has been raised up or recruited..
• We raise $15,000 during this Annual Summer Fundraiser.
• We create Chi Alpha intramural teams.
• We host a successful large on-campus WOW event.
• We engage in more on-campus outreach and evangelism.
• and more.
As our alumni, we want to stay connected with you more as we move forward! Thank you to each of you for being a part of Chi Alpha as students and for being invested as you continue your lives! Know that we would love to meet up and connect with you at anytime, especially this summer! Continue to pray for USF and for what we hope to be the greatest student awakening in our nation we’ve ever seen in our nation and world!
