Father’s Day represents a time to reflect on our dads. It’s one of the least attended holidays in the church. Often, there isn’t any fanfare on TV or social media.

Today, I want to remind you to take PRIDE in THE gift and THE privilege the Lord Almighty gave you. He made you the head. Don’t worry about pats on the back, but be content that you’re doing what He has told you to do.

Remember to chime in and let us know your location.

C4 Bible Study Recap 6/17/26- How to share the Gospel with others. Led by Pastor Yves Johnson

All verses are from the English Standard Version. (ESV)

We must use the Scriptures to explain the Gospel in simple terms to others. Our testimony and experience and prayers are good but it is the Word of God that saves.

Main Verse
× 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

We are called to share the good news with everyone and provide them with hope and a chance to be reconciled back to God.

V.1-2 talks about standing in this Gospel and not believing in vain. Continue in the faith.

2nd verse
× Romans 4:23-25 But the words it was counted to him were not written for his sake alone, 24 but for ours also. It will be counted to us who believe in him who raised from the dead Jesus our Lord, 25 who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised for our justification.

The Lord Jesus came to give us life and we have to recognize our spiritual need for God and repent of our wrongs and submit our lives to His completed work at the cross. Matthew 5:5

Third verse Mark 16:9-20 the disciples unbelief and hardened heart rebuked by the Lord before He tells them to go and preach the Gospel. He did rise again on the 3rd day as He said He would and He showed Himself to the eleven afterward to encourage their hearts to continue believing. The Lord accompanied them as they preached the Gospel message and same today for us. We must go in His strength and by His leading.

John 6:53-58 Jesus speaks of laying down His life and being raised again in order to establish the new covenant in His blood. This was a hard saying but He proclaimed He is the bread of life v. 35. God the Father provided bread through Moses but they all died, now God the Father through Jesus is providing bread that will cause us to live forever. This bread is provided daily and God wants us to live by faith in the Son of God. Also see verses 44-45 of the same chapter. God does the drawing and the Resurrection and the teaching. Our job is to receive, respond and repent.

Lastly Romans 10:9-10.
Jesus is Lord- title of rank and importance. He can direct our lives. He is Lord and Savior. He provides everything that we need especially access to the Father. We are/were broken and only He can make us whole and restore us.
