If you had to lie, cheat, or steal to get it, it’s not a blessing.

If you had to be a home-wrecker to get someone else’s wife or husband, it’s not a blessing.

If you had to hurt others to accomplish it, it’s not a blessing.

If you had to trick or manipulate someone to gain it, it’s not a blessing.

Do not convince yourself—or others—that something gained through evil is a blessing. God is just. You will reap what you sow. The wages of sin is death.

This doesn’t mean God cannot redeem broken situations—He can. But redemption is not the same as approval. God never blesses sin, and His favor never requires disobedience.

If you want to experience true blessing from God, pursue an intimate relationship with Him, obey His Word, and remain faithful. His blessings bring peace, not guilt… righteousness, not compromise… and life, not destruction. 🤍🙏🏻

You are invited to participate in a Church Army USA training focused on helping you do ministry as a part of daily life, as part of this year's Equipping the Saints (April 17–18). Anyone who wants to be equipped to love their neighbor in their own context is welcome. The interactive training features segments such as "Listening", "Community", "Drugs and Alcohol", "Violence and Aggression", and a live-action Bible study. The goal of this training is to encourage and to equip you to see the Gospel as an extension of your identity.

Every Spring, the Diocese gathers for Equipping the Saints. This conference trains lay and ordained people to help churches flourish. You can join the Rev. Dr. Michael Petty, Canon Theologian of St. Peter's Catherdal, this year for Encountering Christ in the Sacraments: Theology and Practice for Anglican Christians.

According to To Be A Christian: An Anglican Catechism, The ACNA has received seven sacraments, two “sacraments of the Gospel” (Baptism, Eucharist) and five “sacraments of the Church” (confirmation, ordination, marriage, absolution, and the anointing of the sick). This workshop is designed to help lay people (adults and students!) understand the benefits which Christ gives us in each sacrament and see how we encounter him in them, most especially in the Eucharist. After exploring the theology of the sacraments in general, we will look at how each sacrament is presented in The Book of Common Prayer, 2019 and in the Catechism. In each case, we will see how Christ works in each sacrament is build up his body, grant us grace, advance us in holiness, and draw us closer to himself. An argument will be made that deeper appreciation of the sacraments is one of the keys to the renewal of the Church.
