The disciples understood something special. They did not ask Jesus to teach them how to preach, to heal, or to cast out demons. They wanted what they saw when Jesus returned after pouring out His heart to His Father in Heaven.

Well ... I needed some dry cleaning. I didn't realize I'd get a lesson in perspective.

There is ONE dry cleaner in my closest neighboring town. I needed my clothes cleaned so ...

The cat obviously has and has had the run of the shop for some time, probably a very long time, based upon the age of the owner. The cat is not going anywhere, nor will it be contained.

Now do you think I can wear the clothes AFTER this cleaning without there being any residuals from the cat's nap? The dry cleaner said he cleaned them. I don't have cat allergies, so ...

God told Eve she would die if she ate the forbidden fruit in the garden. Satan told her she would not die. Eve had a decision to make. Whose point of view would she believe?

Her choice has impacted humans throughout earth's history.

We need to make the same decision. Whose perspective will we believe? God's or Satan's?

Every day I see the consequences of Adam and Eve's choice to choose a point of view rather than to obey God’s expressed restrictions.

Thus, on our journeys to understanding how to live THE balanced life, I want to always choose God’s perspective. What about you?

Ever experience something that requires you to 🛑.

I did.

The GPS told me to take this road. It winds through the woods, around hairpin curves, across narrow one-car bridges, and on pavement in various states of paved and not-so-paved. It's the "main road."

Then I saw the cow. I admit this traffic-cop cow was probably a good thing. I can assure you that my speed exceeded the posted limit.

It reminds me that God uses many things to slow us down or even make us stop. I didn't expect the cow. What unexpected ways has He slowed or stopped you?

What if the water (blessing) you need is waiting in a place you’ve been avoiding?

We often want God to refresh us in ways that feel easy, familiar, and convenient. But sometimes the well is outside our routine. Sometimes it requires effort. Sometimes it looks ordinary, inconvenient, or even uncomfortable.

Have you ever gone to a well to get water? I do it every week. There is a free, endless supply of pure spring water that meets my needs for drinking and cooking. But I still have to go. I still have to carry the jugs. I still have to make room for the supply.

And that makes me wonder: what would we be willing to do for Living Water, the kind that satisfies not just our thirst, but our whole life?

Do you expect calm when life is out of control?

An anointed and gifted preacher delivered a sermon honoring the seniors of the church. (Whether I agree or not, my birthday cycles definitely categorize me as a "senior" citizen.)

He said that seniors, who have walked with God for a long time, have seen Him do so much that they know that He is in control of everything.

He illustrated the point sharing the story of the flight attendant who played games on her phone as the plane encountered turbulence severe enough to open the overhead luggage bins.

As he walked off the plane, he asked how she remained so calm and unbothered.
She simply said that she has been flying so long with this pilot that she has seen successfully fly through worst storms.

So, whether your walk with God has been for a long or short time, KNOW that He has handled WORST situations than yours— stay clam and unbothered.

Let Him safely take you to the other side; His track record speaks for itself.

Pray always — always pray. (Ephesians 6:18)
