Most Holy and Righteous Father,
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we come before Thy throne of grace on this National Day of Prayer. Lord, we come with bowed heads, humble hearts, and lifted hands, declaring that “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 KJV.
Father God, we thank Thee for waking us this morning, clothed in our right minds, with blood still running warm in our veins. Thou hast been our keeper, our sustainer, and our deliverer. Through dangers seen and unseen, Thou hast remained faithful.
Lord, we pray for this nation. Thy Word says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” — Psalm 33:12 KJV. Father, turn our hearts back to righteousness. Heal the divisions among us. Tear down hatred, bitterness, violence, and injustice. Raise up leaders who will walk in wisdom, integrity, and truth.
And Father, today we lift up the children, families, and communities of Tallahassee. Cover our children with Thy protection and favor. Keep them safe in their schools, neighborhoods, and homes. Let no weapon formed against them prosper. Give them hope for the future, minds to learn, and hearts to seek after Thee.
Strengthen every mother, every father, every grandparent, every caregiver carrying heavy burdens. Provide for families facing hardship, restore homes that are broken, and let love and unity rise within our community. Father, let peace walk through the streets of Tallahassee. Let healing come where there has been hurt, and let opportunity rise where there has been struggle.
Lord, bless our churches, schools, businesses, first responders, educators, and community leaders. Let us come together with compassion and purpose to build stronger neighborhoods and brighter futures for generations to come.
We pray for the weary, the sick, and the discouraged. Thy Word declares, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1 KJV. Be a shelter in the time of storm. Bring peace where there is confusion, hope where there is despair, and joy where there is sorrow.
And now Lord, create in us clean hearts and renew right spirits within us. Let our prayers not be empty words, but let them move us toward love, justice, mercy, and obedience unto Thee.
For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. We stand on Thy promise that “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” — James 5:16 KJV.
So we thank You in advance for what You are doing, what You have already done, and what You are about to do.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
