Sermon Subject: “Before the Ram”
Scripture: Genesis 22

The sermon reminds us that we often celebrate the ram, the blessing, breakthrough, or provision without recognizing the journey that came before it. Before Abraham saw the ram, he experienced years of waiting, painful letting go, testing, obedience, and even God's silence.

Abraham teaches us that faith is taking the next step even when we don't understand. When God became silent, Abraham kept climbing based on the last thing God had told him. His obedience wasn't based on seeing the outcome; it was based on trusting the One who made the promise.

The ram reminds us that God can already be working even when we can't see Him working. The provision was revealed at the right moment. So when we are still “before the ram,” we shouldn't quit on the mountain or give up during the silence.

Main Lesson: Keep climbing, keep trusting, and keep obeying. You don't have to see the provision to trust the Provider. Before there was a ram, there was already a faithful God.

"Just Do It" (2 Kings 5:9–14) Joe Malone

The heart of Elder Malone's message centered on Naaman's struggle with pride and expectations. Naaman expected God to heal him in a dramatic way, but instead Elisha simply told him to wash in the Jordan River seven times. Because the instruction seemed too ordinary and beneath him, Naaman became angry and almost missed his miracle.

Elder Malone repeatedly reminded the church that the power was not in the Jordan River, the prophet, or Naaman's wealth. The power was in the Word of God. God's instructions may not always make sense, but obedience releases His blessings. Naaman's servant wisely encouraged him by asking what he had to lose if he simply obeyed.

Elder Malone encouraged us to stop saying, "I thought," and instead do exactly what God says. Naaman dipped once, twice, three times, all the way to six times, and nothing changed. Yet he kept obeying because God had said seven times. The miracle came only after complete obedience.

Pastor message to the congregation was clear: don't stop praying, don't stop believing, and don't stop obeying just because you don't see immediate results. Stay faithful, trust God's Word over your own understanding, and "Just Do It." God honors humble, persistent obedience, and the breakthrough often comes after the moment when people would have given up.
