Christ commissions His church and leads her as the Chief Shepherd, doing so through His under-shepherds, called elders, who serve on His behalf to lead, feed, protect, and care for the flock.

Join us in praying for Josh, Andrew, and their families as they answer this call and step into this important role of service within the church.

In Exodus 8:1–9:12, God reveals more of Himself through the plagues. His precision in the timing and progression of the plagues demonstrates His sovereignty and reassures His people that He keeps His promises down to the smallest detail. His power is displayed as Pharaoh's magicians fail to replicate God's works and are forced to acknowledge that they are outmatched by the living God. Through it all, God is setting apart His people by grace, reminding them, and us, that we have been freed to worship Him and live as a holy people.

The story of Exodus is the heartbeat of redemption we see woven throughout all of Scripture. Like a recurring melody in a symphony, God’s rescue of His people echoes from Genesis to Revelation, pointing us to Jesus Christ and His ultimate act of deliverance through His death and resurrection.

Join us Wednesdays from 12PM - 1PM for the Echoes of Exodus Book Study as we trace this powerful theme of freedom, worship, and redemption throughout the Bible.

Exodus 7 reveals that every sign God gave Pharaoh was not merely a miracle, but a declaration of His authority over His people, His enemies, and the nations. While Pharaoh’s heart grew harder with each warning, Aaron and Moses stood confidently in the power and promise of God, trusting the One who subdues chaos itself and triumphs over every false power and idol.

Starting June 3rd, one of our summer book studies will be going through Marriage and the Mystery of the Gospel by Ray Ortlund Jr. Ray Ortlund traces marriage throughout Scripture—from the first marriage in the garden of Eden to the ultimate marriage in the book of Revelation—laying out a transcendent vision of marriage that dignifies our own imperfect unions as a display of the gospel. This book offers insight and hope to every married person today.

Join the book study happening every Wednesday at 7PM. Sign up using the Church Center app. Couples can receive reimbursement for the cost of childcare by reaching out to Cassidy Hettema.

In Exodus 6, Moses returns to God weary and questioning after the trust between him and the people of Israel begins to erode, yet God responds by reminding Moses of His covenant faithfulness. The same God who made promises to Abraham proves throughout Scripture that His character is steadfast, redeeming a people for Himself through covenants that ultimately find their fulfillment in Christ. Though our doubt and self-centeredness can tempt us to believe we will be the generation where God stops being faithful, Scripture continually reminds us that God always keeps His promises. From Exodus to Revelation, we see that there is no safer ground than standing on the trustworthy and true promises of God, who moves toward His people, redeems them, and fulfills every word He has spoken.

Scripture reminds us that the Lord is near to all who call on Him (Psalm 145:18), and prayer is one of the primary ways we grow closer to Him. While preaching is vital to the life of the church, the book of Acts highlights the power of corporate prayer, and we desire to follow that example together.

Join us for our Prayer Nights on June 8th, July 13th, and August 3rd as we gather to seek the Lord for our church, our nation, and one another, asking Him to empower us toward faithful worship and service.

Following God does not shield us from suffering, but it does shape how we respond to it. Scripture teaches us to practice lament turning to God in honest complaint, bringing our troubles and grief directly to Him, and asking Him to intervene. Moses models this posture when he turns to the Lord after his obedience to God and Pharaoh's response led to further suffering. As Christians, we lament with assurance that the story is not over, just as it was not over in Exodus 5.

God calls Moses to proclaim deliverance, yet meets his doubt with patient provision, giving signs, a spokesman, and a clear summons to obedience. The signs He performs reveal His power over all, foreshadowing the coming plagues and declaring that He alone blesses, judges, and saves. God also makes clear His sovereign rule, even over Pharaoh’s heart, while calling Israel His firstborn son and demanding their release. Through the sobering scene of blood and covenant, ultimately pointing to Christ, we see that deliverance comes by God’s provision of a substitute, where He gives His own Son so that His people might be spared and brought to worship.

“We will not be burned by the fire
He is the LORD our God
We are not consumed, by the flood
Upheld, protected, gathered up

We will feast in the house of Zion
We will sing with our hearts restored
He has done great things, we will say together
We will feast and weep no more“
