ill stand on a major highway on the north side of Tallahassee, providing good access to members living throughout the region. The project will also include the construction of a distribution center. "It is plain that a Temple is more than chapel or church…; it is a structure erected as the House of the Lord, sacred to the closest communion between the Lord Himself and the Holy Priesthood, and devoted to the highest and most sacred ordinances characteristic of the age or dispensation to which the particular Temple belongs."

With sorrow we announce that Russell M. Nelson, beloved President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away peacefully shortly after 10 p.m. MDT today at his home in Salt Lake City. He was 101 — the oldest president in the history of the Church.

“All of us who have worked with Russell M. Nelson, and the many he has taught and associated with, have marveled at his extraordinary modesty for a man of his great accomplishments,” said President Dallin H. Oaks, who was called to serve in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on the same day as President Nelson in 1984 and who served as President Nelson’s First Counselor in the First Presidency. “And [we] have marveled at his gentleness. He is just the gentlest and sweetest person you could ever hope to associate with. And he will always be remembered that way.”

Meet the Ladle family!! Kathy, Devin and their family flew all the way from Arizona to attend the Tallahassee Temple Open House. When asked why they came all this way to see the Temple they said, "We lived here for 17 years, we know the sacrifice, prayers and faith it took to get this Temple, and we wanted to be a part of that. Just knowing that for so long, people have been waiting and praying for this Temple, it's just a miracle seeing one here in Tallahassee." We are so thankful for everyone who has travelled far distances to be a part of the Open House. There is one more day left of the public Open House. Come and see!!🥰
