Praise the Lord!

The Gavin family would like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to everyone who showed us love, kindness, and compassion during the passing and Celebration of Life of our beloved Sister Callie Rosier Gavin.

We are truly grateful for every prayer, phone call, text message, visit, card, flower, meal, financial gift, and every thoughtful gesture extended to our family. Each expression of love and support brought comfort and encouragement to us during a very difficult time.

We especially thank the Restoration Church of Christ family, our extended church family, friends, and loved ones who stood beside us, served alongside us, and helped make Sister Gavin's Celebration of Life a beautiful and meaningful tribute to her life and legacy.

Our hearts are still heavy as we mourn her absence, but we are grateful for the many wonderful memories she left with us and for the love she shared with so many. We are also comforted by knowing that her life was a life of faith, love, service, and devotion to God.

Thank you for standing with us, praying with us, and loving us through this season. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

With heavy hearts, Restoration Church of Christ announces the passing of Sister Callie R. Gavin, who peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

Sister Gavin's life was marked by faith, strength, wisdom, love and service to others. She touched countless lives through her gentle spirit, compassion and unwavering commitment to her family, church, and community.

As we mourn her earthly departure, we are comforted by the promise of God:
“Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord… that they may rest from their labours.” — Revelation 14:13

We extend our deepest love, prayers and sincere condolences to Bishop Wender R. Gavin, the Gavin family, and all who loved and cherished Sister Gavin.

Rest well, Sister Gavin. Your work is finished, your legacy remains, and your reward is eternal. 🕊️💜
