As Restoration Church of Christ entered its fifth decade, God ushered the ministry into a season of expansion, elevation, transition, and renewed vision. This decade stands as a powerful testimony of God's faithfulness and favor as He continued to enlarge our territory and fulfill His promises.

As Restoration Church of Christ continues its celebration of 50 Years of Ministry, we invite you to journey with us through the Fourth Decade (2006–2016) of our rich history and legacy.

This remarkable decade was marked by spiritual empowerment, leadership development, youth mentoring, fervent prayer, discipleship, and Kingdom advancement. Through God's faithfulness, the ministry expanded its impact by equipping leaders, empowering young men and women to walk in their God-given purpose and strengthening the church through prayer and service.

From the establishment of the Hezekiah Prayer Band and the Daughter’s of the King Program to the Ambassadors of the King initiative and leadership training opportunities, this season reflected a commitment to raising up generations of believers who would boldly serve God and impact the world around them.

50 YEARS OF MINISTRY CELEBRATION
DECADE #2 — GROWTH, OUTREACH, SACRIFICE & EXPANSION

As we continue celebrating 50 years of ministry, we reflect on a powerful decade of GROWTH, OUTREACH, SACRIFICE, and EXPANSION.

During this season, the ministry expanded beyond the church walls through mission work in Port St. Joe, St. Petersburg, Florida, and Valdosta, Georgia, reaching communities with the Gospel, prayer, hope, and restoration. Community outreach, nursing home ministry, and prison ministry also became vital parts of the church’s impact.

The ministry also invested heavily in youth development, empowering the next generation to grow spiritually and serve faithfully.

After paying off a 30-year mortgage in just 9½ years, additional property was purchased and renovated for future ministry, educational, and evangelism efforts. Prayer ministry also flourished through the establishment of the Lydia Prayer Band.

Through faithful preaching, prayer, vision, and service, souls were saved and lives were transformed. The Second Decade became a season of Kingdom advancement that helped shape the future of this ministry for generations to come.

Happy 86th Birthday to our Beloved First Lady, Sister Callie Gavin! 🎉💐

Today, the Restoration Church family joins together in love, honor, and gratitude to celebrate a true pillar of faith, grace, wisdom, and strength. Sister Gavin is a testimony of God’s faithfulness, enduring love, and unwavering commitment to the Kingdom of God.

Through the years, she has blessed countless lives with her prayers, kindness, humility, encouragement, and steadfast support of ministry. Her life reflects the beauty of a virtuous woman whose heart has remained devoted to God, her family, and the people she serves.

We thank God for the powerful legacy she continues to build and for the inspiration she is to generations near and far. Your wisdom, gentle spirit, and unwavering faith continue to shine brightly and impact so many lives.

A testimony of 𝗙𝗔𝗜𝗧𝗛 that would not fail.
A testimony of 𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 that would not break.
And a testimony of the 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥 of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

For five decades, this ministry has stood as a beacon of Apostolic truth in Tallahassee, Florida—committed to prayer, sound doctrine, community outreach, and excellence in ministry.

This three-day celebration will include our Jubilee services, the Sacred Service of Episcopal Consecration of Elder Timothy L. Beard to the office of Bishop, and a special Legacy and Leadership Transition Celebration.

As we commemorate this historic Jubilee, our beloved Senior Pastor, Elder Wender R. Gavin, will be honored for his 50 years of faithful leadership and service. In recognition of his extraordinary dedication, the church will confer upon him the honorary title of Bishop Emeritus.

As we celebrate fifty years of God’s faithfulness, we look ahead with great expectation—confident that the vision continues, and the work of God is not finished.
