As the colder months approach, we want to ensure that anyone in our community who needs warm clothing will be able to find it here. We are currently in need of MEN’s winter clothing donations—coats, sweaters, toboggans, gloves, scarves, warm socks, and winter shoes/boots.

To maintain dignity and care for those we serve, we kindly ask that all donated items be clean and in good condition, as we are not able to wash clothing on-site.

Donations may be dropped off during our regular hours of operation: Monday — Thursday | 9 am — 11:30 am

Your generosity makes a true difference. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors this winter. ❤️

Yesterday, we were blessed with an incredible group of volunteers from Honda Manufacturing of Alabama who came to serve alongside us at the Samaritan House. We are also grateful to hear that another Honda team was serving at The Red Door Kitchen at the very same time. ❤️

In a season when the needs in our community are rising—and when many families are facing uncertainty—this extra helping hand meant more than words can say. Their willingness to step in, work hard, and do so with joy and compassion truly made a difference.

To each volunteer who gave their time, their energy, and their heart: thank you.
Your service didn’t just fill shelves and sort donations—it lifted spirits and reminded us that we are not alone in this work.

Community happens when we show up for one another. And yesterday, Honda showed up in a beautiful way.

We are grateful. 🙏
We are encouraged.
And we are reminded that hope is stronger when it’s shared.

🍁 October’s Item of the Month: Canned Soup! 🍲

Fall is finally here — the air is getting crisp, the leaves are changing, and there’s nothing quite like a warm bowl of soup to bring comfort on a cool autumn day. This month, we’re inviting our community to help fill our shelves with canned soup of all kinds to share that same comfort with neighbors in need.

Your donations make a real difference — not only warming bodies, but hearts too. ❤️

Donations may be dropped off at Samaritan House of Talladega during our regular hours. Every can counts, and every act of kindness helps nourish hope.

So very blessed and grateful to be partners with this amazing team of people! Congrats on an awesome event!

What a wonderful night celebrating the kickoff of our 2025 Campaign! The food, fellowship, and turnout were outstanding. A huge thank you to First Bank of Alabama for sponsoring this event, and to Martha Boydston and her team for the fantastic catering. We are grateful for the tremendous community support—United is the Way!
