It is easy to sit inside the church, lift our hands, sing worship songs, listen to the Word of God being taught or preached, and enjoy the presence of God. However…..following Jesus is not only about receiving—it is also about going, giving, praying, praising, reading Gods Word, sharing Jesus , sharing your testimony, walking in HIS anointing & HIS will for your life, being a Christian example to all!
We were not saved just to occupy a seat.
We were saved to become a witness.
We were not called only to attend church.
We were called to be the church & reach people for Jesus!
We were not blessed by God merely to keep the blessing for ourselves.
We were blessed by HIM so that our lives could become a blessing to others.
There are people around us who are hurting, grieving, lost, confused, broken, and searching for peace, strength, comfort, hope and answers. Some may never enter a church unless someone first reaches out to them. Your testimony, your kindness, your courage, your prayer, and your willingness to share the Gospel could be the very thing God uses to lead someone back to HIM!
Church attendance is great, we are told in the Bible not to forsake assembling together, but discipleship is also needed and we’re called to disciple others. Worship is beautiful, but obedience is also necessary. Hearing the Word is important, but living the Word is what makes our faith visible to others.
Jesus did not say, “Go and make church attendees.”
He said, “Go and make disciples.” Matthew 28:19
When we do this, church attendance will automatically become important to others and will increase!
So don't let Christianity be just a Sunday routine, being a Christian, being in a true relationship with Jesus must be our everyday life! Truly knowing Jesus is wonderful, it’s the most important relationship we’ll ever have, but we must also make Jesus known!
Pray for others!
Love others as the Bible tells us to!
Help others!
Give to others!
Invite Others!
Encourage Others!
Share your testimony with others!
Teach others about Jesus!
Reach the people that everyone else seems to have forgotten!
One day, we will realize that the greatest thing we could have done with our time was not to just fill a church seat, but to help fill all of heaven with souls who came to know Jesus!
Be a Worshiper and a witness!
Your seat in church is not your only mission field. Your mission field is also in your daily life, out in the world, everywhere God sends you, and often to your own family!
Pray that God orders every step throughout your week, leading you into HIS perfect will and into the places that HE needs you, that your life radiates Jesus and the anointing of The Holy Spirit!
