Ironaton church of Christ disaster response team

Have you ever seen devastation after a storm and thought, I should do something to help these folks. Well this group of guys did just that. They drove 4-1/2 hours one way to Soperton,Ga. yesterday and delivered 1 enclosed trailer loaded with food, tarps, gloves, yard tools, etc and 2 trailers loaded with 12800 bottles of water. They took off a day of work to help the folks at the Soperton church of Christ.

We had the privilege to help a few families today in Alex City Al. The tornado hit part of that area pretty hard. There were downed trees and power lines. For the most part the homes were spared. Thank you to Andy Collet and Tyler Gallahar for your help today.

There were several dangerous storms today that covered a large area of our state. We all need to be mindful of the folks affected by the storms as well as the first responders and rescue teams. We will be assisting in the cleanup, recovery efforts in as many areas as we can in the coming days.
